Ote Clean Cleaning Aid, White, One Size & Bausch & Lomb Sensitive Eyes Saline Solution 500ml

Especially good for 'greasy' GP lenses.

Been using this for years to clean. My contact lenses works very well.

After using the Ote Cleaner for all types of Contact Lens, I found this product to be much more effective in terms of how clear it actually leaves the Contact Lens than other products I have been using. Although, it initially comes out of the bottle clear the same as the other products, it lathers up much better thus giving you a much better clearer, cleaner result which is grease free this combined with using a weekly protein remover tablet makes the lens much more comfortable to wear.

Now that the original Lens cleaner (for Boston gas permeable lenses) is not available I have been very pleased with the Ote cleaner. It is clear, not cloudy like the original, but I think it works just as well. Seems expensive but lasts a long time. If, like me, you don't get on with the all-in-one type of solutions this little bottle of cleaner is your answer.

It is expensive compared to other products, but having tried many others it is worth the additional cost.

As a gas permeable lens wearer I was beginning to despair of finding a good cleaner after my usual two (white) cleaners seem to have vanished off the market. I tried another couple but to no avail, and then found this. This is a clear cleaner that really really does the job. Probably the best contacts cleaner I have used in 40 plus years. Definitely recommend.

Since the Bausch and Lomb recall, finding good cleaning fluid, or conditioning, has been a real pain. I’ve tried a few and this Ote stuff has filled the gap nicely. It doesn’t feel quite as smooth as the Revu fluid I used to use but in terms of cleaning and comfort I’ve not noticed any difference. My only complaint is I can’t find a detailed breakdown of what’s in it to be sure it doesn’t contain chemicals I know are damaging to RGP lenses, but I’ve not noticed any issues. I’ve just been to my optician and they were happy with the condition of my lenses, so presumably all is well. I probably will go back to Revu once it’s available, but in the meantime this seems like a good option. Everyone’s eyes are different, but for me this is a good alternative.

It’s good enough as a lense cleaner, but why no proper list of ingredients so one can know what one has bought in terms of composition, surely this is required ? Label the ingredients individually please.After using this, I note that it has to be vigorously rinsed off the lense before peroxide soaking as it will cause a lot of frothing in the lense case causing the peroxide levels to get too low for a good overnight soak clean.
