Not quite what I expected.
If you're the type of visual learner that draws inspiration and can compute the process of something simply by looking at it, then this book might be extremely inspirational for you. I do often put myself into that category of learning style, but I was also looking for more depth on the basics of how lettering and type curvatures and composition are created - more instruction. Being an avid follower of Stefan's on social media, I assumed there would be more teaching elements in this book, but there aren't. It's nice to look through if you're feeling uninspired with your own originality, but I don't see much use for it beyond that.

Filled with letter styles and layouts for inspiration
Lots of letter styles and layouts within this book. Pages are mainly black and white, non-glossy. I was hoping that there would be photos of Stefan's walls and completed pieces and perhaps his own sketchbook but maybe in a future book, this one is strictly a workbook...which is still good. Has many blank pages to practice lettering but I will not even dare to mess up these pages and will sketch in a separate sketchpad. It's a nice reference to have when I get to a personal lettering project. I'm a fan of Stefan Kunz's work via Instagram. I look forward to more books of his in the future and I hope to own each one.

... from this book that it let me down real bad. There is no real information
I follow Kunz on social media and was expecting so much from this book that it let me down real bad. There is no real information, it's more of an inspiration book made of a small compilation of his work. He expects you to copy his pieces and that's it. He doesn't explain how to use different tools, or goes through the creative process and composition. If you're looking for a good workbook to copy from I'd rather go for McDevitt's Hand-Lettering Ledger which also makes you copy her work but she guides you through the process and has a vast array of tricks and inspiration. This could work as a coffee book.

Awesome book
Stefan Kunz is a Lettering Legend and this book is awesome. If you wish to take your Lettering to the next level, this is the book for you. This book doesn't just encourage you to Copy but to learn from the copying and to be creative and look for inspiration.Lettering has so much potential and Stefan certainly teaches you this. I have learnt so much from Stefan and Highly recommend this.

Excellent resource
Excellent recource for anyone struggling with their hand lettering layouts. I have purchased many hand lettering books in the past two years and I would have to say this one rates in my top 3.

Rather than teaching, the book encourages you to just ...
Rather than teaching, the book encourages you to just copy. It also does not offer instructions on how to properly copy either as it does not walk you through the basics of letter forms. In addition, the book discusses materials that you need, but I do not understand what the purpose of this was as it doesn't mention what the various tools mentioned are used for in relation to the content of the book. So if you're looking for a book that offers any sort of instructions or guidance, this is not it.

Not the best value
Not as goos as I expected. I am following Stefan on Instagram and admire his work but book is not the best. Quality is "cheapy", paper is thin and suitable only for pencil practice, the overall quality....there's no pictures but only printed black and white typography type. It gives some explanations and some ideas but it just not what I was expecting. Delivery from the seller was great and no issues to the seller but the book itself is pretty average. The worst thing was to pay a full price or so plus delivery and to find it in 'The Works" shop in town some days later for 4£!! I was raging!!!!! So....really, for 4£ it's alright but for a full price...I feel cheated.

Not worth even its cheap price
I am so disappointed! Stefan Kuntz creates the most amazing lettering on his instagram for example so I had high hopes for this book. But it basically just contains some letter images that you can try to copy. I can do that with any images online! Anyone with basic drawing skills can copy. I thought this book would teach me different ways to letter, examples of alphabets, shading etc.I wouldn't buy this book if you want to learn how to letter. Though the book was cheap, looking for lettering images online is cheaper. I am glad I didn't pay for the expensive online course with Kuntz if it holds the same standard.
