Impressed with this!!!!
I just got these yesterday so this is a 1st impression / under 20hrs use. I have a Pixel XL phone to pair this to. First the box is well packaged. Unboxing is like most that posted so I'll spare the pics. I was tossed up between this or the non sport. I also read many reviews of other similar ear buds. For me I was looking for Phone to caller clarity and controls and music quality. I know the price is a bit high. But after unboxing them I can see why. Quality is expected for this price (I would be happier if it was under $150). The case is pretty solid. The ear buds are larger than the air pods. I have used many in-ear bluetooth devices and I was a big fan of LG 800 series for being around the neck and the mic. I used it like a boom mic. Anyway the Jabra sport elite feels solid. I agree with most reviews, I had to try combinations of the included ear buds and loops. There are 3 pairs of foam type and 3 non foam type. My ear canal is slightly larger than the otger. It didn't take long to get used to it. Pairing is fast fast fast and easy. Download the app, it is a great addon and needed as well. The Sports came with firmware. 5.1.0...the app quickly pre downloaded the 5.3.0 firmware. While this was happening I did notice some static and disconnects from the left ear bud. I hoped the firmware fixed it. Low and behold it did!!! So here's some things I noticed: the software is informative from battery charge to locate a lost ear bud. The hear through feature is pretty wild. Each ear bud has 2 mics so the hear through allows external sounds to pass through...it's not a hearing aid, but the experience I imagine is the same. The sounds ambient or not was audible, a bit tinny but not bad. When this is enabled you CANT hear music if you are streaming. At first I thought this was a mistake, but thought about it, if I wanted to hear someone, why have music playing. So I don't mind this feature. The downside to this feature, the left ear bud would cut in and out every so often. A bit annoying but at that point, I'd pull one or both out anyway to have full hearing of what I was listening to or someone talking. Ok music is way nice on these. Adjust the eq from the app and / or the music app you use. Both will apply so you have the right adjustments to your taste. The bass can be really bassy and the highs are high. I like some treble, low mid and some bass. I listened everything from rock to hip hop to accapella and all music sounded great. I was using Spotify. A feature i like on the Jabra is the music and volume controls on the earbuds. I like that control. Other cheaper ear buds don't have this! On to the phone calls. Callers didn't notice any loss of my voice during a call! The mics rest at the bottom of your ear canal so I think one of the mics pick up my voice from that and the other helps with noise cancelling . The callers could even hear when I whisper! I was happy and pleased. Although when I coughed, it was very loud to the caller. Of course wind noise will be hear at strong breezes of 15mph or more. So be aware. Not a big deal for me as I try to talk in a quiet area anyway. Battery life - I have had it 1 day and charged the case once and it's still full. During my work day, I listen to music on and off for about 6 hrs. So when not in use I placed it in the case. So even at 1.5hrs of straight use the buds were still close to 100%. The case showed green LEDs indicating 90%-100% charged. I verified it in the app and my phone as well, so I feel that the battery indication was correct. Still need a few days to a week of use to report back more of a review. But so far yes battery life is as advertised. There is a slight lag of audio to watching a video. Not a deal breaker as I listen to music 99% of the time. So I will change to 5 stars or lower in a few weeks and do an update to this review. I would recommend this Jabra elite as it provides what is advertised and it does meet my needs and expectations (so far). Yes price is a bit high, but after using cheaper products in the past, this is well worth the use. I work in an office setting and people come can go from desk and using these during those times is fine. I pop the buds out easy as that. I also workout and these do stay on place. It does move slightly, but never popped out. I suggest reading the the PDF of the manual as the book is too tiny for me. More later and hope this helps!

Dead after 2 years
3rd UPDATE: Sadly I have to drop this to one star. The right earbud is done - no sound is coming out at all. I’ve done every possible fix recommended and it simply doesn’t work. Oddly, the Control buttons do but the speaker is gone. So these lasted exactly 2 years to the day. Beyond the fact they broke you would be an absolute sucker to pay $200 for almost 3 year old technology. Try the 65t active - despite my issues with this I did like Jabra overall and will still with them for one more set. Likely the 75t Active that was just announced. EDIT TO ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've had these now for about 3 months and the trouble is coming in. For some reason, the left earbud goes into a fit and drops the signal, in and out, at times. This has happened twice and there doesn't seem to be any reason for it. I disconnected and reconnected, the phone is about two feet away at most - nothing. Then, it magically resolves itself a day or two later. For the price point that's pretty ridiculous. The second issue with the left earbud - at times, and this is often. The sound does not match the right earbud - it's much, much quieter. Again, not reason I can tell this happens. Absolutely disappointed. My first pair of wireless earbuds and I'm impressed. Though the fit seemed to be an issue for many, they work fine for me. Forms a great seal to keep the outside noise out and are reasonably comfortable. Connectivity is simple and fast, I've never dropped a signal unless I walked further than the specified distance. Waterproof - yes, this is great. I've used them in the rain and the shower (I saw somebody else tried this so I had to.) The design is sleek and durable. Though I hate opening the case because the buds feel like they are going to fall out if you open it too fast. Sound - The sound is good, not great - which is what I expected. BT audio still isn't 'there'. It's not going to blow an audiophile away and I have had to switch the EQ quite a few times to find the right fit for certain genres but overall, it's decent and on par with a $100 pair of wired headphones. The biggest issue? They don't get all that loud! Sometimes when I'm vibing on something at want to jam it up I'll look at the screen and see I'm one click away from Max volume. Hugely disappointing there but, then again, I should take better care of my poor ears after years of unobstructed concerts. Am I happy with the purchase? Yes. Though, I did buy them at the under $200 - at the time of this writing they have jumped to $250 - if you are on the fence but no in a hurry, wait until the price drops again. $250 seems a smidge too high.

Comprehensive Review for my skeptical newcomers/Those screwed by KANOA.
This review is a bit long, but comprehensive, so bare with me. I want to start by saying I think these are absolutely fantastic and have already begun recommending them to all my friends, if that tells you anything. During my research phase of truly wireless headphones I pulled all of the specifications of the leading trending brands (Bradi Dash, AirPods, Nuheara IQ and a few other's who's name are inconsequential to this review) as far as loudness, frequency, bass response, they are all comparable to each other. The sound quality is very good, I wish the volume was louder but there is an expected volume loss with bluetooth audio already so there is nothing you can do about that. So at this point you are wondering why do I buy these as opposed to the others at upwards of $200 more than some brands. The additional features of this headphone is what makes it stand out compared to the others. The battery life while it is not the highest available to the market, it is the highest available in the sport class of headphone. When I say sport class I'm referring to the models that are meant to withstand water, sweat, heat expansion, and actually stay in your ears during vigorous bouts of activity. The app is a wonderful addition to these headphones, It is filled with features, settings, add-ons, management tools, and information all collected from an earpiece. The heart monitoring is very accurate and with that come V02 max indication(now i don't need to wear a heart monitor) The GPS, distance, pace, cadence, lap time, in addition to tracking of these for multiple activities render my GPS watch null and void. You can manipulate the information it reads to you, manipulate when it reads it to you, if it reads it to you, and if it drowns out your music while it reads it to you. The app is extremely user friendly and easy to use. The app even has a GPS "where are my headphones" feature which is great considering they are little guys and you may lose track of them. Bluetooth Connectivity is better than expected. After you initially sync them to your device, overtime there after once you take them out of the charging case, they will boot up, and connect to your phone before you can place them in your ears. They are ready to go at all times. Now when you have them in your ears you may notice as you switch between apps, or music, or phone calls they re sync with each other overtime, some might find this annoying but if that is a deal breaker for you, maybe truly wireless technology is not for you until more development has occurred. I would like to address the numerous complaints for "fitment". First off, they fit my ears nicely. I would venture to say that they probably fit the majority of people's ear nicely. The 1 and 2 star reviews in here that say "the fitment is HORRIBLE" should be taken with a grain of salt and perhaps, evaluated not as a mark against the product Jabra has released, but a person requiring a more specifically engineered product. If you want custom fitment there are companies that will take mold of your ear and give you the perfect fit and turn in into a wireless headphone for a modest fee of no less than $800. You probably already know if your ear does not work with generic headphones. I cannot attest to the longevity of this product as I have only had them a week, but I am confident that should any problems arise Jabra will take care of me and do right by their customer base. That being said every user buying should understand that this is relatively new technology and that there is no truly wireless headphone currently on the market without quirks, glitches, and other miscellaneous uh-ohs. If you do not wish to be apart of the test bed for this and take the time it will require to get replacement headphones should a problem arise, give it a year or so before you decide to invest in this developing process. Final thoughts are, Headphone could be louder, it has great sound, the hear through feature is so cool, the app takes the cake, fitment is good but perhaps a deeper fitting bud would not only help some people with fitment but also help the volume issue. Great Product, highly recommend, looking forward to future releases from Jabra!

Two Weeks In Pretty Good!
So for starters I'll touch upon the packaging. These are packaged in a nice case that displays all the ear fitment pieces, earbuds and charging case. It definitely looks good BUT if you're not careful THE CHANGEABLE PIECES WILL SPILL EVERYWHERE and get lost, so be careful! All that said, they could do better to make sure things stay in place. On to manuals/instructions, they could definitely be a lot better. Some things are kind of unclear, there is a lot online but you have to dig for it. Time to touch upon use. Using these is fairly simple, you turn them on and they will pair with a PHONE fairly simply, if you want to pair with other things it's not so simple. To pair with a phone you press and hold a single button and you should be good to go. To pair with a PC or a smart TV it's a bit of a battle ALTHOUGH I was successful after trying a couple of bluetooth dongles for my PC and it took a full reset(holding the two buttons on the right earbud) for these buds to play nice with my Samsung TV. However, after the first time the buds paired it was smooth sailing. As for the sound....very underwhelming out of the box. I had to use the EQ in the app and basically max out the bass just to obtain a FLAT RESPONSE. This isn't really the fault of the actual drivers within the units, the problem with the lackluster sound is due to fitment. I tried multiple earpieces and multiple wings and getting a perfect fit just doesn't happen. When I press and hold the buds into my ears they sound very good but once they settle, I have to set the bass to max again with the EQ in order for them to sound decent. In short they sound very vocal without using the EQ, it's not great. Battery life has been very good to me so far. I have used them for two or three hours straight without them dying. I haven't had any issues with poor sound or range either. After running and sweating I let them sit out for a while to dry before putting them into the charging case, I believe this is a mistake the people with failing earbuds are making. They are probably putting them away right after a workout with moisture getting trapped within the drivers ALTHOUGH they are supposed to be waterproof which was my reason for going with these. Ultimately I am very happy with these earbuds, we are in the early days of truly wireless earbuds so they're not perfect but after doing lots of research these were the best option. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them or recommend them to everyone who is on the fence. If the price were better I could give them a 4.5/5 star review but again, I'm happy with them. Lastly, I would like to say I have only been using these for about 3 weeks so time will tell if they hold up but as of right now they get a thumbs up. WIRELESS EARBUDS ARE AWESOME! Once you go true wireless you'll never go back.

Waterproof, easy to use, occasionally don't have both work at the same time.
I love these! I had originally pre-ordered Kanoa headphones... And then the whole Kanoa deal happened. Sooo I was looking for something robust and of good quality. I ended up going with these. Why? 1. I wanted something waterproof: I found out that I have no problem washing these off after a run -still have yet to try swimming with them. 2. I wanted controls on the headphones: I searched through a bunch of cheaper headphones and noticed that many didn't have controls on them. The Jabras have button controls directly on the outside. Some people don't like the fact that these are push buttons -you kind of push the headphones into your ear while using them. I don't have any issues with this because you don't need a hard push...the only time I've noticed any discomfort is when trying to operate the buttons while they're under my hat. 3. I wanted something that would stay in my ears no matter what: Another negative that I read before purchasing these was that they didn't fit all shapes of ears correctly. However they fit mine in a way that I knew was secure. The fit does take a bit of getting used to and originally my ears had hurt after a few hours of continuous use. (This was similar to when I started using my Samsung Level U headphones a few years ago.) Now the Jabras fit perfectly fine and I love them. 4. I wanted good sound quality: I have no problem with the sound quality on these. Is it top notch? No -my roommate's Beats headphones (wireless but not wirefree) can get much louder and do have better sound. With that being said, I don't listen to my headphones with the volume all the way up -so maximum volume is completely pointless to me. I normally keep these on mid range (during a busy NYC subway ride or loud area). The sound isolation is very very good on them. Extras: The microphone on these works pretty well. In a quiet area, I can have a phone conversation without issue. When there's noise, the person on the other line can hear everything around me. This makes sense though because these headphones aren't like my voyager legend Bluetooth that has multiple microphones for noise cancelation. Additionally, the microphones are used to allow you to turn off noise isolation. This works well but it can sometimes be hard to hear people with the headphones on. This brings me to my next extra: when I remove the right earbud from my ear it'll automatically pause a song that's playing -love it! The only downside is that 2 people can't listen to music at the same time with these. Additionally the heart rate sensor seems to work well and I've done the V02 test through the app -occasionally I need to readjust the headphones but no issues here. The battery lasts me plenty. I don't notice myself having to charge my headphones super frequently and the case will tell you when it's getting low on power. The downsides: The only bad thing I've noticed with these is that on occasion the right headphone will turn on and not the left. All I need to do is put both back in the case, close it, and wait for the front lights to turn on -then off- and reopen it. Usually they'll both work fine after (just gotta make sure each blinks green when the case is opened). So I'd say a great product considering this is a fairly new market!!

Comfort on ears Music depth is a bit lacking I like these headphones but I had a huge adjustment period ...
Pros: Wireless Customization Cons: Comfort on ears Music depth is a bit lacking I like these headphones but I had a huge adjustment period to making sure this works for me. Mainly you need to make sure that the actual device fits in your ear they provide a couple of different ear bud pieces and also wing tips for the ear buds. You will want to take your time with this as this will make or break your experience. I had to adjust the wing tips and ear buds about 10 times before I actually got the right fit I enjoyed. Once you have the fit then it is just learning how to put the buds. Though once you have the buds in have a familiarity to putting them in you are good to go. I will say out of the box the music quality is not as deep as you would expect from ear buds. I had to modify my equalizer to get the somewhat bass and the nice treble. Though in this case the ear buds do lack a bit of bass but if you use the memory foam it will seal the noise in a bit more. The fitness tracker and Heart monitor is nice and is the main point of this product. If you are a audiophile then this may not be a product for you. I found the music from the headphones lacking in depth and bit to quiet even on max volume. I did though change the ear tips and equalizer did help in regards to getting a better experience with the music. Though over time my ears did find some irritation when keeping the headphones in, but over time my ear adjusted to the ear buds. All in all the price was okay and I have not had any bad reception for the month that I had it. Super solid product for the first ever wireless ear buds.

Great product. Don't know why there are so many bad reviews?
I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews for these earbuds. I have had mine for just under three years now and I have loved them! I use them often (approximately 5x a week) to do various types of workouts. I have done cardio, HIITT training, heavy lifting, and hiking in these and they have been great for all of those activities. Once you find the right combo of gel inserts, they are snug and do an amazing job canceling noise (especially compared to Apple Airpods). I bought these in August of 2019 and have had absolutely no issues with connection or sound quality up until earlier this month (early May 2021). I lost 60% sound quality in the right earbud--but I think that may be because I dropped them on the asphalt from a standing position (which I had never done before). I have switched to a pair of Apple air pods to use during my workouts since I have dropped the Jabra's, and the quality difference between the two is stark. The air pods are far inferior. They are not as loud, they slip out of your ear and I can hear everything that is going on in the gym around me. I have never had these issues with the Jabra's--once I put them in, I am in my own world. I cannot hear anyone around me when they are in noise cancellation mode, and my music is significantly louder and clearer. If you are trying to decide between the two, pick the Jabras! If you take care of this item, it will last a long time. I do believe that if I hadn't dropped them on the floor so hard they would be in the same condition in which I bought them almost three years ago. The price has signifigantly dropped from when I first purchased them. I paid $249 and they are now $139. Even at the higher price, I think they are worth it. I am hoping to get a replacement from customer support since I am still within the warranty period, however, if I do not, I will gladly repurchase a pair for the lower $139 price.

Mediocre sound quality and buggy features
tl;dr While the fit is super comfy, the sound quality is not great (very little base and muddled highs) and the heart-rate feature barely works. After looking at cheaper options I splurged on this set largely because I wanted a convenient heart-rate monitor for running and cycling. Unfortunately, it was this feature that caused the most amount of trouble. The first issue is that the heart rate drops in and out unless I'm above 110 bpm (ok for running and most cycling but useless for hiking or low intensity stuff). This wouldn't be a deal-breaker except that when it comes back in, the sounds dims and you get a nice English lady telling you that your heart-rate is detected. It's incredibly annoying and there's no way to turn it off (a common complaint on many forums). This led to me just turning the feature off. The fit is actually super comfy. I've also tried the apple airpods, which are comfy but sometimes fall out, and the soundcore anker liberty lite, which are super uncomfortable for me. This was probably my favorite characteristic. When they were in a barely noticed. Some other reviews have complained about wingtips causing discomfort, but I don't get this. The sound quality is really not great. I'd be OK with it if this was a pair of $25 earbuds, but at $200 I expect better. There's basically no base response and some distortion on the high end. On the other hand, call clarity was actually pretty good and I found them to be great for making phone calls. Lastly, the passthrough feature was not well tested. In any wind (and I mean any tiny little puff of wind) all you can hear is wind noise over the mic. The other issue is that while you can sort of hear some sounds (it's pretty subtle IMO), there's no directionality so actually it's pretty disorienting. Not knowing where the car sound is coming from doesn't really help me avoid it. Overall, I was slightly disappointing. The battery life and fit were great, but the earbuds failed in almost all other regards.

Did not work!
Garbage!

Not for all shapes and sizes!!
Super disappointed. Really uncomfortable to wear to the extent that I can’t really wear them at all. Sound quality really poor probably because the fit is so bad.

Great Wireless Workout Headphones
I was looking for a pair of bluetooth headphones that I could wear while running or at the gym. Did a ton of research, and finally ended up choosing the Jabra Elite Sport. Overall, I'm quite happy with the purchase. More details below: Pros: 1) Great sound. I know they are not noise canceling, but the sound is full enough and powerful enough where it almost seems like they are. I have a couple of noise canceling Bose headphones, a Grado, and a Sennheiser, so I know what "good" headphones sound like, and these are quite ok compared to those. And, most importantly, they are loud enough to block out the annoying music they play in the gym, which is a big plus for me. 2) They look good. They don't stick out of your ear or look like hearing aids like a lot of headphones. The Bose Sound Sport Headphones just look stupid, in my opinion. I tried them on and they stick out of your ear so much you look like you have Shrek-like ears. These meld in, don't stick out beyond the ear, and look unobtrusive. And they are fit snug enough where they will never ever fall out. 3) Features: Can answer calls, change tracks, increase or decrease volume from the headphones itself. Quick and simple set up. Cons: 1) Fit can be tricky. They come with a number of ear ear fins and plugs that allow you to customize the fit, so I would encourage all users to try a bunch of combinations before settling on the right one. But regardless, I can only wear these for about 90 minutes (and I had to build up to that) before they start hurting. But that's ok -- these are not meant to be the headphones you wear at home while watching a movie or on a plane for several hours. They are meant for working out, and for that period of time, they work well. 2) If you take the right headphone out, the left one stops working as well. I don't know why that had to be the case. They couldn't design it so both headphones work independently of the other? 3) Price. I think they are worth it, but if they reduce price by 2-3k below the Amazon discounted price, I think they would fly off the shelves. Also -- Set up is quick and simple. Battery life is long enough. They come with an app for your phone that can measure V02 max and all that, but I've never used it. That doesn't mean it's no good, but I just didn't feel the need to. Overall, I'm quite happy with the purchase. They are great for the use case, which is for wear while working out. Do not buy them as the headphones you want to wear while watching a movie, or on a long flight, or that 3 hour phone call. They aren't meant for that. If you use them for what they are meant for, they are great.
