Peloton cycle experience using regular stationary bike
The media could not be loaded. I bought this SNODE stationary bike for my “Peloton hack” project to get the Peloton cycle experience using cheap stationary bike + cadence sensor + Wahoo app+ Peloton Digital app. It is a good-looking, sturdy, easy to assemble. I spin 3 or 4 days a week and take either 30 minute or 45-minute Peloton classes and haven’t had any issues. There are many varieties of bikes out there (cheaper alternatives and more expensive, too) but for the budget conscious like me this one had everything I needed and I have not been disappointed. I like its cage pedals, so i can use my regular sneakers and slip them into the cages on the pedal as I would at the gym. I chose the SNODE stationary bike with a flywheel and belt like the Peloton, over the chain link version. This bike cost me just over $250, so upfront I am saving almost $1750, on the bike alone to get Peloton cycle experience.

A high quality, exceptionally quiet cycle with outstanding fit and finish
We've owned 3 stationary cycles, two with friction resistance and one, close to twice the price of this Snode, with programmed auto resistance. The friction cycles were noisy, the resistance was uneven, and the frames creaked with every crank rotation. The magnetic resistance was fairly smooth pedaling and we liked the programmed variable resistance levels but the bike rocked and creaked with every pedal downstroke, making for an insecure pedaling experience. In fact, one of the lower welds began cracking at the downtube and the top bar was starting to rust at the welds, even though the cycle was wiped down after every use. So, it was with some caution that we started looking for a replacement magnetic resistance cycle. After receiving an Amazon "special deal" notice for the Snode 8722, we took a close look, especially at frame strength and finish. Powder coating was a big plus as it is much more resistant to moisture and the parallel, oval section downtubes and oversized front and rear bases promised durability and rigidity so we decided to place the order. The outer box was punctured it 2 places and the bottom was torn open and retaped (badly) so I was expecting at least some damage, but thanks to decent packaging, the cycle was fine. The assembly instructions were clear and I was able to assemble it by myself without much drama, but the job would have definitely been easier with a helper! Before I climbed aboard for a "shakedown ride," I was already impressed with the cycle's fit and finish. The satin black powder coating was even and thick, the frame tubes were larger with thicker walls and smooth, substantial welds, the wide front and rear adjustible bases promised stability, and the alloy pedals with adjustable cages gave the cycle a high quality look. In fact, the Snode 8722 exceeded the fit and finish of our previous $800+ exercycle in just about every area. I was impressed! After a few trial and error adjusting sessions, I was ready for first ride. Pedaling was smooth, resistance was fairly progressive and easy to adjust and, best of all, the drive was virtually silent, and the cycle didn't creak or rock, even during high speed spinning or stand up pedaling. After a week of daily use ~120 miles), I am even more impressed and pleased with the Snode - it may just be our best exercise purchase ever!Pros:1. Heavy duty frame - the dual downtubes definitely improve rigidity.2. Smooth, exceptionally quite pedaling action - easily the quietest exercise cycle we've owned.3. Really good, smooth pedals with a solid, nonslip platform and functional cages that really keep the foot in place.3. Good computer that tracks speed, cadence, distance, time, pulse (quite accurate) and estimated calories.4. Beautiful black satin finish with red accents (the red crank arms are particularly nice) and a completely enclosed wheel and drive make for a very attractive cycle. All isn't perfect, but the issues are minor and don't detract from the cycle's durability or usability.Cons:1. The handlebars are height adjustable only. I have a short torso and arms so fore/aft and/or angle adjustments would have been helpful. I was able to find a fairly comfortable riding position but more adjustability would make the cycle even better.2. The main display cable is nicely coiled and covered but the 2 very thin signal wires were left exposed with no strain relief. Even a slight pull on this cable will likely break the wires, rendering the display inoperative (see pic). I'm going to try to add a piece of heat shrink tubing and will post another pic if I'm successful.3. The computer fits loosely in the handlebar bracket and the plastic bracket is pretty flimsy. While it's unlikely to cause any problems when cycling, the display could fall off when rolling the cycle using the front wheels. Not a big deal if you're careful, but it's not in keeping with the overall high quality of the 8722.4. The ability to lock the cadence display during spinning would be helpful (the display cycles between speed and RPM).5. The leveling feet are hard plastic, not an issue for me because the bike is on a treadmill mat on tile. However, a soft base cover would be helpful for those who ride on wood surfaces. If you do, I HIGHLY recommend a thick, high density mat! Finally, I have one feature "wish." A free-wheeling hub would make a great cycle perfect. When spinning intervals at high speed, the ability to reduce pedal speed quickly and pedal more slowly while waiting for the flywheel to slow down would be a BIG plus!In conclusion, this cycle plays WAY above its price point. I'm admittedly hard on exercise equipment but the Snode 8722 promises a very long and happy relationship. I'll update this review if anything changes as the miles accrue.

Great bike for home exercises
The media could not be loaded. I am usually not the type of person who leaves detail review, but I really want everyone to see how nice this bike is.I have gained over 10 pounds since the winter, and have been looking for some home exercising equipment to get rid of all those extra pounds. My friend recommended spin bike as I don’t have too much room in the family room to fit a treadmill. The bike came well packaged, and the FedEx delivery guy helped to unloaded it to my garage. Putting it up was a breeze, especially with the help of instruction video on YouTube. The digital real time display is just as described, and I especially like the multi grips options which allow different exercise positions to ensure different muscle groups get the work out. I also like the platform for iPad/Kindel/iPhone, so I can watch my shows while exercising, and not being bored too quickly. The quietness of the bike also makes the show-watching possible.I have been using the bike for about 30 minutes every other day in a HIT way as it is very easy to adjust the intensity of the spinning by turning the resistance nob during the exercise. It’s been almost two weeks now, and I can feel that my thighs are getting toned, and the weight starts to go down. The bike is also gentle on my knees, which is a huge plus. For anyone who's looking for a spin bike at home, this bike is definitely the one!
