Bondhus - 24512 17095 Set of 15 Balldriver L-wrenches w/BriteGuard,sizes 1.27-10mm

I went with this set because it includes sizes that most other sets anywhere near this price range don’t have have that I needed to work on my VW. Having the right tool makes the job easier, and I’ve never had one of these hex keys slip from a fastener. Great fit and good bite on the screw head.The amount of sizes in this kit also makes this a great kit for any project around the house that requires a hex key. Chances are that if you need it, this kit has it.I don’t use this kit everyday or anything like that, but I can say that from the amount I have used them, the finish is holding up very well and they all still look brand new.

This is a great tool and great to have in everyone shop and tool box. Very durable and a great price.

I have this for my garage tool kit. Very nice and high quality. I have other sets from this brand and they’ve all performed well and haven’t let me down. I like the number of keys in this set and the finish, which is why I chose this for the garage as they’re easier to see than the black ones.

I am a professional technician who removes and fastens allen key bolts dozens of times a day. I've owned this set for just over three months now and it's such a great set that I've thrown away all of my other L wrenches (except for some extremely exotic sizes from a bagged Craftsman set), because I simply don't need them.The fit on these is great, the set is very complete, giving me a good fit even in fasteners which are technically SAE (I also own the SAE version of this set, which I don't even carry with me). The ball ends make it easy to remove and tighten fasteners at angles (albeit with less torque).They're very solid, with a solid finish to them as well. I've yet to round any corners on them, or on any fasteners, and the long handle allows for quite a bit of torque to be applied gradually.Honestly, the only downside I can think of is that because of the long handles, these aren't going to fit in very tight spaces, but there are other tools for those situations. For 95% of what you're likely to encounter, this is the best and probably the only allen key set you need.

Has more than the usual metric set has, solid case

I just would like to come out front and say that I have used Bondhus hex wrenches for years and will never use another style hex wrench as long as I live. I am a Field Engineer and work in semiconductors. For months I had been complaining to my manager that we needed to get chrome-vandium (or nickel) plated hex wrenches for use on our equipment as we were currently using black metal powder coated ones (also made by Bondhus). I continued to be ignored. Three weeks ago our Customer site said all black metal powder coated tools were illegal and were to be removed from site immediately. We had long L-shaped hex wrenches, only short Ls. Work came to a near crashing hault.Who didn't stop work because he had a set of these in his personal toolbox? -> This Guy <-Every size I ever need, and plated for the job. I would not settle for anything less than these guys. They make prime tools.

I am very impressed with this set of tools. I have a motorcycle that's 30 yeas old with exhaust bolts that were going to be very tough to break. I have always used cheaper brand home use allen wrenches but knew they would break because the bolts wouldn't budge. I started to contact mac tool or snap on to get a good set but couldn't see paying the high price. I started to get T handle wrenches like these but glad I didn't, you can do more with these.Ive never noticed ball ends like these. In tight places you can put them in at an angle and loosen. It works great ! Today I couldn't wait to get started on my project. I got a pair of big pliers and put on the ball driver wrench and turned slowly and Just when a regular cheap set would normally break or bend the bolts popped loose. I have no doubt it would broke the hex head screws and not damaged the tool ! Yes its that strong ! This is a fine set of tools Thanks a lot Bonhus !

A set I'd recommend.Pro:- Good quality for decent price- Made in USA, at a decent price. At least I can support American workers.- All the sizes you'll likely need.- Ball ends look to work well (did just a quick test)- Pretty accurately sized (checked a few with calipers)- Comes in sturdy holderCons:- Smallest one (1.27 mm) came bent out of the holder. I was careful taking it out. That's a star off for quality control right there.- Holder is sturdy but highly inconvenient. If you need anything but the biggest in the row, you'll be rotating the bigger ones, or pulling them out. Rotating will kill the retention the holder has, so it's a bit of a hassle.The cons make it a 4 star, but it's still a set I'd recommend. Quality control needs to be improved however.
