Resale of bulk item. Old batteries

Item came with damaged packaging. Batteries have only a 1 and a half year shelf life. This is extremely low for batteries, suggesting the item has been stored for several years before being sold to me. I would suggest spending a little more and getting more batteries. At least those will have a longer shelf life and a chance to use later
