How does the rear sight mount? Screw in or dove tail or what?

I mounted the rear sight to an existing pillow block on a Hastings slug barrel for a Remington 11-87. Used a screw coated with Gorilla Gel glue. Still solid after 2 seasons of hunting.

Will this work on smooth bore deer slug barrel dated back around 1974 for Remington 1100 ?

Thats what i put it on but 1980ish rem 1100

The photo shows the front as a dove-tail. can't tell on rear. answers here conflict. will you describe both mounts? i need both as screw-in.

I installed them on my muzzle loader. The front replaced my original bead dove tail. The rear replaced my V rear sight which screws into the original mount that is on an up and down slide track. I hope this will help.
