Budget Build Lifeline! Ant Esports VS400L (400W) - Read My Serious Warning About GPUs First!
I was piecing together an absolute budget rig, and when it came to the PSU, the choices were grim: either spend double for a certified unit or take a risk on something cheap. I landed on the Ant Esports VS400L from Clicktech Retail Private Ltd for just โน1,209.00. If you're building a sub-โน30,000 PC, hereโs my real-world take on whether this 400W unit is worth your money. 1. First Impression Was Premium: Honestly, the packaging didn't feel cheap at all. It was tightly sealed and well-protected, which was a huge relief since shipping components can be rough. The PSU itself has a nice, heavy matte finishโit doesn't feel like flimsy plastic junk 2. Decent Cooling for the Price: They didn't skimp on the fan. It uses a large 120mm fan at the bottom. For a budget unit, this is way better than those tiny, noisy fans you find on the side of really cheap PSUs. It keeps things cool and stays quiet 3. Braided Cables (Partial Victory): I was pleasantly surprised that the main 24-pin Motherboard and 4+4 pin CPU connectors were braided. It makes the two most visible cables look cleaner and helps a lot with basic cable management 4. Warranty Win: Amazon incorrectly lists this as 1 year. I checked, and the official site gives a 2-year warranty . That extra year is a huge psychological bonus for a budget component. 5. Cable Hell (Non-Modular): Expect cable management to be a nightmare. Every single cable is permanently attached, meaning youโll have a huge, stiff bundle of unused wires to stuff somewhere in your case. This is non-modular territory . 6. Cheap SATA Wires: The peripheral cables (SATA and Molex) are the classic unbraided yellow and red wires . They work, but they certainly aren't pretty. 7. No Power Switch: Yep, you read that right. There is no dedicated on/off switch on the back of the PSU . If you want to cut the power completely, you're unplugging the cable from the wall. Minor annoyance, but noticeable. Listen closely: This 400W VS400L PSU is only for budget builds using integrated graphics (iGPU). If you are planning to buy a dedicated, power-hungry GPU (even a modest one) DO NOT use this 400W unit. It will struggle to deliver stable power in the long run. You risk instability and damage. If you need a dedicated GPU, you MUST spend more and buy the 600W version of this PSU, or look for a certified unit from another brand. This is a solid, reliable choice for the absolute lowest-cost PC builds, but you must respect the 400W limitation. Itโs a workhorse for cheap, but itโs not a powerhouse. Excellent & Value For Money Products From Ant Esports
Ant Esports PSU is a fantastic product. I wanted a temporary PSU as my Corsair 650W PSU was not functioning well. The Ant Esports PSU has been working well for the past few months without any issues. The product is extremely value for money. The quality is excellent for the price paid. The cable length is adequate. One imporant thing is to check if your GPU (Graphics Card) requires a power supply. Because this one does not have a GPU cable for power as it's a budget PSU. I had a spare GPU that did not need power and I had to use that instead of my main GPU card as the PSU did not have a power cable for GPU. So please check your requirements before buying. I am extremely happy with the purchase and would recommend anyone looking to buy a cheap and budget GPU to go with Ant Esports. I also have Ant Esports PC Case & RAM ,and they are all working exceptionally well. Buy without any doubts.

Solid psu by look and feel
I'm not an expert to comment about the efficiency and all but by the look and feel it's a solid psu for the price you pay. Got it delivered on 2/9/25 and it's been almost 10 days. No issues so far. It has got a chunky fan but very silent. The quality of the wires should've been a bit more better but it's already far better than the cheap one's. If the efficiency is good and the components hold up for a really long time this psu is a solid choice for a low to mid range pc with some room to future upgrades.

Great PSU, Conflicting Warranty Information.
While comparing the product I received with the specifications listed on Amazon, I noticed several differences. I received what appears to be a newer revision with flat black cables instead of the multicolor cables shown on Amazon, 4 SATA connectors instead of 2, and a 3-year warranty clearly printed on both the box and the user manual. However, the Amazon listing contains inconsistent warranty information: the product highlights mention a 1-year warranty, while the product description mentions 2 years. The official Ant Esports website also lists a 2-year warranty. I'm currently waiting for an official response from Ant Esports to confirm the updated warranty and product specifications. The PSU was well-packaged, appears genuine, and the build quality is good for the price. However, both Amazon and Ant Esports should update their product information to reflect the latest specifications and the correct warranty period to avoid confusion for buyers.
