Words of advice. Buy a tube of Permatex Ultra Grey Gasket Maker and use it instead of this gasket. Make sure you clean off all the old sealer before applying a bead of the Ultra Grey. To answer your question, if your Ranger has an 8.8 rear, it should work.

Anyone used "gasket sealant" with this gasket? I just want to apply thin layer on the rear diff cover so the gasket won't move while installing.

Thank you for your inquiry. The Fel Pro RDS55341 Differential Cover gasket would go on dry as long as the cover is not warped or twisted and the bolt holes are not dimpled, also torque the cover to the vehicle manufactures torque spec.

It will fit an 2001 ford f150 5.4l???

Be sure to count your bolts holding the cover plate to verify correct gasket needed. It will have either 12 or 10 bolts. My 2002 F150 5.4 was a 12 bolt, 9.75" rear end.

I take it from the reviews this does not fit a ranger 7.5 rear end? i can't find a gasket for my 7.5" rear diff..

From what I've been told and my research showed that even from the factory, some rear end diff covers didn't use a gasket, just RTV silicone.
