Takes a bit of learning , but this is perfect for my half moon chisels

Easy to use
I needed a stone that could sharpen shaped tools and this stone does what I need. I can sharpen my shaped crafting knives with ease. Once I've achieved the edge I need using the stone I complete the process by polishing the blade on a leather strap

Whether a turner or a carver you will benefit from sharp tools .This sharpening device is good when wet to begin the sharpening process BUT a dry sand block with contours is what is required to get a really sharp finish particularly when a smear of the gold block is added.
