PetSafe ScoopFree Crystal Cat Litter, Lavender Scent, 2-Pack

This is by far the best cat litter I've ever used. There's almost no dust. If you're careful filling the litterbox, you can prevent the dust from ending up in there, as what little there is (maybe a teaspoon to a tablespoon between the two bags it comes in) settled to the bottom of the bags. With the near complete elimination of dust in the litterbox when she's kicking it around, my cat's persistent eye irritation and intermittent upper respiratory issues have resolved entirely. I tried multiple brands, clumping and non-clumping formulations both, and nothing even touched this so far as the lack of dust goes. For you cat's health alone, if you are using clay litters or paper/wood litter that has paper or sawdust getting kicked up, clumped between toe beans, etc... make the switch. You will not regret it, and you'll probably have a happier, healthier cat. The health benefits alone would make it worth cost to me over other kinds of litter. But wait, there's more! =D. The odor control and ease of litterbox cleaning are great. No scooping clumps, the silica absorbs her urine immediately, and you can't even tell she's used the litterbox. Poops still stink right after she goes, especially on the occasion where she doesn't fully bury it for whatever reason, but not for very long. Because it's made of silica, which is a desiccant, the turds become completely dried out in a very short period of time, after which they don't smell at all anymore. Even when I'm scooping the box, they're dried to the point of being like little rocks I'm scooping out with zero odor. I also have to scoop less often, and she never tracks pee soaked litter or gets poop stuck to her paws to track out of the box. She likes to vigorously kick her litter around in there, including anything that happens to be in the litter, so this was definitely a problem when I was using other litter types. Not anymore. Lastly, ease of cleaning. Besides the advantages of not having to deal with the dust and odor anymore I mentioned when scooping the box, this stuff beats others when the time comes to do a full dump and change of the littler as well. I'm disabled with severe back issues, and struggle with both bending and especially lifting any weight while bending. This crystal litter is so much lighter. I'm able to pick up the box and pour it into the garbage pail without too much fear of aggravating my back because of it, which is a big deal for me. The directions say to use it until it becomes less absorbent. I change it every 4-5 weeks. Not because it stops being absorbent or loses it's odor control, but because it not being as saturated before tossing it is just easier on my back. Between improving my cat's health due to lack of dust, far better odor control, far greater ease of scooping, and the light weight making it much easier for a disabled person such as myself when the time comes to empty and refresh the whole litterbox, I can't recommend this stuff strongly enough. Give it a try. Now that I've used it, I'll never switch to anything else.

A Lifesaver for Multi-Cat Homes! Rating: ★★★★★ As a proud owner of multiple feline companions, I cannot sing enough praises for the PetSafe ScoopFree Premium Blue Crystal Litter. This fantastic cat litter has transformed the way I manage litter boxes in my multi-cat household, and here's why it deserves a solid 5-star rating. Pros: Superior Odor Control (5/5): One of the standout features of this litter is its ability to absorb odors at lightning speed. The lightly scented formula masks unpleasant smells effectively without overwhelming my sensitive nose. It's a game-changer, especially in a household with multiple cats. Low Tracking (5/5): The low-tracking nature of this crystal litter has been a blessing. Say goodbye to those frustrating litter trails throughout your home! It stays in the litter box where it belongs, making cleanup a breeze. Long-Lasting (5/5): The PetSafe ScoopFree Premium Blue Crystal Litter lives up to its promise of lasting up to a month. It's incredibly efficient, requiring fewer litter replacements compared to traditional clay clumping litters. This means less hassle and cost for cat owners. Smooth Transition for Older Cats (4/5): While some older cats may initially shy away from the crystal texture, the trick is to mix it with your regular litter for a week or two. This gradual transition allows them to adjust and adapt comfortably. It's a small adjustment period for the long-term benefits. Health Monitoring with Pretty Litter (5/5): I've found that pairing this crystal litter with a bag of Pretty Litter is an excellent idea. Not only does it add an extra layer of odor control, but Pretty Litter's color-changing feature provides valuable insights into my cats' health. It's a winning combination that brings peace of mind. Cons: Dusty Smell at First Pour (4/5): It's worth noting that there may be a mild dusty smell when initially pouring this litter into the box. However, the scent dissipates quickly, and the outstanding odor control more than makes up for it. In conclusion, the PetSafe ScoopFree Premium Blue Crystal Litter is a must-have for multi-cat households. Its superior odor control, low tracking, and long-lasting performance have simplified my life as a cat owner. Older cats can adapt to the crystal texture with a little patience, and pairing it with Pretty Litter for health monitoring is a brilliant idea. Despite a minor initial dustiness, the benefits far outweigh any drawbacks. If you're looking for a game-changing cat litter that makes managing multiple feline friends a breeze, look no further than this fantastic product!

I've finally made the switch to PetSafe ScoopFree crystal litter, and honestly, it’s a total game-changer. I’ll be the first to admit that it’s definitely on the pricier side compared to your standard clay litter, but in my opinion, it is 100% worth the extra cost. The convenience of just swapping out a tray every few weeks instead of daily scooping has saved me so much time and hassle. I'd say the odor control is pretty average—it's not mind-blowing, but it's definitely not dissatisfying either, and it does a solid job of keeping things manageable. Plus, it’s practically dust-free, so I’m not breathing in a cloud of grey smoke every time I refresh the box. If you're tired of the constant maintenance of a traditional box, the price is a small trade-off for the freedom and cleanliness you get back.

I use this litter with the ScoopFree automated litter box, with a reusable plastic tray. Pros: -It's blue and fun to use. There's also a purple version, which is very pretty, but I haven't tried it. -After switching from clumping litter to this PetSafe crystal litter, and I noticed the odor levels have drastically decreased. -Works well with the automated litter box. Cons: -The amount of litter in each package isn't quite enough to achieve the depth I prefer. The coverage seems a little thin. If the packages were 30% larger, that would provide better coverage, and it may extend the time between cleanings. -After a few months, the reusable plastic tray in my litter box has been stained purple. The ammonia from the urine mixed with the blue coloring in the litter must produce the purple stains. It's not a big deal since nobody sees the inside of the litter box, but I thought it was worth mentioning. It makes me wonder if using the purple version of the litter would exaggerate the problem. -It could be cheaper. I get a slight discount for auto-renewing my order, but the litter is still more expensive than most clumping litters. But it's not quite as expensive as "Pretty Litter," another brand of crystal litter. How long does it last? I only have 1 cat, so I don't know how well this litter holds up with multiple cats, but the automated litter box keeps track of how often it is used. At about 70 uses, the litter is probably ready to be changed. At about 100 uses, the litter is stinky enough to be noticeable througout the house. I'm a cheapskate and I tried to cut costs by using by cheaper clumping litter in the automated litter box, but the clumping litter was dustier, which caused the the moving parts to get squeaky and move with more effort. Switching back to PetSafe litter helped the litter box run much smoother. (I wish I had never tried the clumping litter in the automated box!). So the PetSafe litter is a MUST when using the ScoopFree automated litter box. Overall, I recommend this litter for regular and automated litter boxes. It's fun to use due to the blue color, keeps odors down, and works wonderfully with my automated litter box.

I’m honestly amazed at how much this litter has improved my daily routine. The crystal formula dries waste quickly, and the odor control is incredible—my home finally smells fresh again. Each bag lasts much longer than I expected, making maintenance simple and convenient. My cat adjusted to it right away, and I love that there’s no dust, no mess, and no constant scooping. If you’re considering trying it, I highly recommend it—you may never want to switch back to traditional litter.

My cat loves this liter. Lasts forever no.dust great value for your buck. Light weight and looks pretty

I have purchased the blue litter 9 times now. I have one 16 pound cat, and I do not have an automatic cleaning cat box. I have a cat box disguised as a large plant. Anyway, I had been using the recycled newspaper type of cat litter for a while because they are large pellets that do not track at all - downside is they also do not do ANYTHING for masking odor. I moved into a smaller apartment and noticed the smell was taking over the whole place. (Note: I do not have central air, and I first bought the blue litter in winter.) So I get this blue crystal litter, and it seemed like an amazing product at first. The smell practically disappeared, and I didn’t have to completely empty the cat box every week! So I kept buying it. Things I have taken note of: I noticed in warmer months, there actually is a smell and I have to clean it much more often than advertised. Which includes removing a large amount of the litter that has been urinated on, because mixing it around every few days has done nothing to help. The urine eventually turns the crystals into a green paste and smells horrible. And I have to scrape it from the bottom of the cat box every week. The dust is insane while pouring it into the cat box, and also while scooping, or emptying it. I wear a covid mask when I do anything with it. Which concerns me, because my cat has to be inhaling this while he using it. It tracks like crazy!! I have three cat mats with holes to catch the litter, surrounding his box, and still I crunch these under my shoes throughout my entire apartment. Maybe people think it’s not tracking much because they have carpet and the crystals are small or hard to see? I don’t know, but it definitely tracks. Maybe it works better with the full “system” in place, but the dust has gotten worse lately (maybe a change in the product?) so I will not be purchasing it any longer. If only my cat had been toilet trained I wouldn’t have to try 34 types of cat litter 🤣🤣

I wasn’t sure about crystals and a bit higher priced But this is worth every penny!! And my fav thing is I do not smell it. Anything! And my cat seems to not spread litter on the floors as much. Scooping is easier, no dust or anything stuck to bottom of box. It just makes everything easier for me(73) and my cat Millie(12). She’s very spoiled and would definitely let me know if she’s unhappy !

Thought it was expensive, but boy was it worth it. Just the best I've used, such a difference to my day. One bag seemed snall, but it is plenty, so will work out more reasonable. I think it will last nearly a whole month for one sac. Thank you.

This is good, good value too. No odour. Impressed.

As soon as i put it in the litter box I started coughing from the cloud of dust it left behind !! How about the poor cats?? Very bad and not safe for cats

Excellent product when available at a reasonable price. Often cheaper just to buy a cartridge
