THE DAY THE SUN DANCED: THE TRUE STORY OF FATIMA. As good as any Disney animation, this film accurately portrays the story of Our Lady's appearances to the three children in 1917. From the angel's appearance to the Miracle of the Sun, the full story is so captivatingly presented that young viewers will want to watch it again and again. This DVD contains the following language options: English, Spanish or French.

Great movie about the miracle at Fatima
After reading the reviews, I was concerned that this might be a bit too scary for my 4 year old daughter, so I watched it online first and decided it was okay for her to see. She LOVED this movie and asks to watch it over and over again. The brief vision of Hell was not too scary, only lasted a few seconds, and I watched the movie with her and explained it to her. I also explained that the man who was threatening to "boil the children in oil" was only trying to scare them into telling him what he wanted to hear. The overall message and story is so good, and the movie is a great way to introduce children to the miracle at Fatima and to Marian apparitions in general. I'm very happy I got this movie and plan to get more movies from this company (we also have Juan Diego: Messenger of Guadalupe and Patrick: Brave Shepherd of the Emerald Isle, which she also really enjoys). Great story of the faith of the little saints and of the love they had for Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary, which I would recommend to anyone. This is a "kids' movie" but I enjoy it a lot too!!!

Just as I remembered
I had this VHS growing up and absolutely loved it. It sparked an interest in Marian and Eucharistic miracles, and I never felt that there was a part of the movie I didn’t understand. I bought this for my four daughters, all under six years old. They love this movie. After all of these years, it is still a great movie for children!

It's a Rare DVD - Make Sure You Get a New One
The movie itself is good (really good for children to learn about what The Blessed Virgin is asking the world), but since this is such a rare DVD to find, make sure you get it new. I bought a used one and found out it was a copy burned onto a blank DVD, though the cover looked pretty authentic. I was refunded my money, but that's not the point. Either get it new or ask the seller for proof it's an authentic copy.As for the movie, it's a simple story of a very intense subject: reparation for sins of the world - conversion of sinners. The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to three simple children and through Her message to them, speaks to us. The vision of Hell may be scary, but the reality of Hell is worse.....and we have the opportunity to help people not go there. And it took the removal of the sun from its orbit to demonstrate how important The Message is.DVDs like this are rare and precious. Make sure you get an authentic one.

Beautiful Depiction
This illustrated movie is a beautiful depiction of the Marian Apparitions in Fatima, which helps "plant the seed" of faith for children in a format that captures attention and is easy to understand. I remember watching this movie when I was a child in Catholic school, and it truly resonated with me. Years later, I searched for it online to share with my daughter and had a hard time coming across it. I'm so happy I was able to purchase this from Amazon, and still enjoy it to this day.

Nostalgic
I had a dream I was watching this film with my grandmother one night and the next morning I woke up and ordered it for nostalgia purposes. The animations is still lovely, as is the story, even though I’m not even close to religious anymore.

Beautiful film, I would recommend for up to 11 ...
Beautiful film, I would recommend for up to 11 year olds. I bought one copy for my children after seeing it at their youth group. My surprise was that my elderly aunt who has dementia absolutely loved it as now she finds following films much more difficult. It allowed her to enjoy her faith in a much more simplistic way, it brought her so much comfort. It was also a perfect film for my young kids!

Great, inspiring video about Our Lady of Fatima
Great, inspiring video! My four children (8,5,2) and I loved it. Very good script, perfect length (30 minutes) and inspiring message. Good quality even the graphics are not 2D like most contemporary cartoons. Very good price too. I highly recommend it!

Lovely cartoon for children.
A lovely cartoon about the events in Fatima. It explains the story simply for children and isn't too long. I found the dialogue a bit fast and that's why I gave it 4 stars.
