Pricey, but worth it
As far as the price goes-- it is expensive, but the author clearly spent a lot of time on this resource. Once I examined it closely, I was very happy with my purchase. That said--- the resource book is essential for instructors who do not know Latin, but also very useful for those who do. I studied Latin in college and have taught it for many years. Nonetheless, I found the teacher's guide worthwile. It includes cultural information, great ideas for activities, and reproducable pages. If you are homeschooling and feel the teacher's manual is not cost-effective since you will only be reproducing the pages for one or two students, think about the cost of a private Latin tutor-- compare the tutor's hourly rate of $40-$100 (in major metropolitan areas) to the cost of the teacher's edition.I highly recommend the Minimus resource book both for teachers with no Latin experience and those with Latin experience. I have found it extremely helpful and useful even though I am proficient in Latin and have extensive teaching experience.

Valuable Investment
This was definitely a pricey, yet worthwhile splurge. The translations and background material are helpful, especially for those not proficient in Latin. My students loved the activities, which include a family tree, paper dolls, games, Roman cursive, Roman numerals, maps and art activities. Along with this book, I used the workbook (cost £1) available on the Minimus Etc. site and Usborne: Roman Britain. The workbook contains valuable grammar practice.

Well worth the price and critical for success
This book is critical for teaching the Minimus series. The reproducible pages are important ancillary items and instrumental for getting the message across to younger children. I taught Latin at the middle and high school levels for my entire career and am now teaching my grandchildren--ages 6 - 11. I was concerned about the pace, since the high school curriculum, being IB- and AP-oriented, moved very rapidly, and I was afraid of confusing younger children and having them lose interest. The pace prescribed in the Teacher's Resource Book seems to be working very well and the idea of having an actual, documented family from Roman Britain as the focus of the text is brilliant.

Good Worksheets, Pricey
I am running through Minimus at home with my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grader. It seems to be going pretty well. The kids are in a parochial school, so we do this as extra homework on our own (I am not a traditional home school parent). The teacher's manual helps out with the worksheets that I can copy at the end of the lesson. The worksheets are very helpful. On the down side, the book is a bit pricey for me, as I only need three copies of the worksheets, and I think I would like to see a little more guidance on how to use the worksheets in conjunction with the student manual.

Wonderful!
Wonderful! The lessons are clearly laid out and easy for someone without a background in Latin to teach. I also added the CD for audio reinforcement. We are just starting Latin so I'm afraid I don't have much more to add at this point. I would highly recommend this curriculum!

More than advertised
Was actually a complete set- the Teacher's Guide, textbook and the audio CD. Highly recommend this seller for delivering way more than advertised! Condition as expected.

Great Book at a Ridiculous Price!
This is a very fun Latin program for children. It is very colorful, interesting, and user friendly. The author has a gift for teaching this subject to young children. If this Teacher's Resource book were priced reasonably ... I would rave about it to everyone I know and I would highly recommend it to all of my homeschooling friends. It is a great introduction to Latin for young children. It is, however, not worth the listed price, even if it came with the student book (which is an additional cost). It is a shame that this program is so overpriced.
