Wonderful Tripod for the Weight Conscious
I saw one of these in a store and thought the price must have been mis-marked; no way could there be a Benro CF tripod that inexpensive! I didn't buy it then, but later purchased through Amazon and I could not be happier. I've used a full size Benro for a few years and love it, but wanted something smaller for travel as airlines seem to get more difficult each day with weight and size. Like other Benro models, the build quality is outstanding, and all the mechanisms work with smoothness and precision. The ball head is great for photography and allows quick and accurate positioning of the camera (but other head choices would be better for video). I've found that I much prefer the circular leg clamps used by Benro over lever clamps used on some manufacturers - you can unlock all three clamps on a leg with one hand and one quick motion. The tripod folds compactly and fits nicely inside a carryon or I can strap it onto the side of my small camera day pack. Although I really like my full size Benro, I imagine it will end up staying in the closet and I'll take this little one instead for occasional excursions. The best tripod is the one that you have with you, and this travel model is much more likely to be at hand. Overall, it's a well built, low weight, compact tripod perfect for those who travel or want something light but don't want to give up the build quality and operation of a much more expensive model.

Great quality, low price, low weight
Was looking for a tripod to use when backpacking, something more substantial than a table-top tripod but still lightweight enough not to be a burden. This guy fits the bill. It's slim, but in order to accomplish this longer than other travel tripods, but this actually is perfect for slipping into a large backpacking pack. Twist lock mechanism and leg deployment is smooth, ballhead locks down without any play, has a weight anchor which is nice. Overall all the movement on this tripod feels solid and smooth. Previously I owned a Manfrotto Befree - this tripod trumps it in every way.

Light and stable. So far, so good!
So far, so good! I purchased this for use with my Sony A7iii in advance of a trip to Europe. So far it has done everything that I needed it to and then some. I know some people were worried about stabiity issues but I have seen nothing of the sort(granted I haven't had it out in high winds...but if that was the case I'd just make the legs wider) To date, I've used it on grass, sand, a sidewalk, and a hardwood floor. One such use was on a hill but keeping the camera level is no problem with the arca swiss ball head which includes a small level bubble. This tripod is LIGHT and solid. Usually when I buy stuff that's light, it feels flimsy. That's not the case here. The carbon fiber legs feel strong and look great wit hthe pattern. tldr: Pros: Stable Strong Super light weight Fast and setup Looks great Cons: Could use a few more leg with options Be careful and have a firm grip on your camera when you loosen the quick plate.

Great Tripod, Head could be better, No Spiked Feet
I purchased this tripod before going to New Zealand on holiday. It was amazing, extremely lightweight and easy to set up. It also comes with a great carrying bag. Now for the downside. The head only has one adjustment knob, so to unlock rotation you also unlock your ball. Benro was nice enough t place a degree of rotation mark on the base of the head, but I don't see the point as when you unlock the head your ball will rotate as well. Unfortunately it doesn't end there. the rotation isn't smooth at all, so this tripod isn't for anyone that needs a smooth sweep motion. At least without a new head. I purchased a carbon fiber tripod to be light weight, but that comes at a premium. a premium that doesn't include replaceable or spiked feet. It has rubber feet that seem to be glued in. I didn't want to pull to hard to test that theory as I was afraid I'd ruin my new tripod, which over years of use with rubber feet will get ruined anyway. With that being said, This tripod does have its uses, armature hobbyist would be the best description at to whom this would be a good tripod for. Fortunately for me, I currently fall into that realm so its the best for me!

Best tripod for packing in luggage/gear
First - I'm blown away by the 1 & 2-star reviews. This tripod is carbon fiber, built by one of the best gear companies, and at a price tag under $140. I'm not sure what people are expecting, but this is a "travel tripod" intended for light use. Second - It's light as a feather but still holds my Canon 5D MK IV with battery pack and medium-sized lens without issue. The ball head is small but locks down tight at any angle, even upside down. Lastly - This isn't my goto primary tripod for studio our heavy outside use in demanding conditions. But I'll use it to pack when I'm traveling because it has a small diameter and removing the ball head free's up even more space. The legs are thin but strong enough that they're not flexing under the weight of a full size DSLR camera.

Lightweight travel tripod
A nice lightweight tripod. Appears well built and tolerated some mild rain abuse so far. It was shaky in wind with legs fully extended and I would have enjoyed a larger ball head, but it seems sturdy enough for the lighter weight frame. I have learned that when shopping a new to me product like this, getting my hands on it first will be key. It’s gonna be great for travel to places without weather, but I’ll need a sturdier model too. Fast shipping and delivery. Product was as billed, I just wasn’t as fully informed as I needed to be.

Love it.
This is by far the best tripod purchase for any camera. It’s easy to carry with my camera bag. It is smooth to utilize. The ability to lock my camera, phone or any other product is amazing. Perfect length for photos and has a good versatility for angled photos.

Exactly What I was Looking For - Read My Update
Perfect simple, compact and lightweight tripod for travel and hiking. The build quality for this low price is ridiculously good. Update: I knocked a star off because before getting this outdoors, paint chipped off near the area where the legs meet the shoulders. No moving parts come into contact with this spot so it is simply a matter of a glitch in the paint. It is a small spot and not a huge deal, functionality the tripod is just fine. I am in the process of returning it, only as a precaution against further paint chipping. I have already ordered a replacement. I am still impressed with the build quality, but obviously, the finish turned out to be slightly less than perfect. After being hands on, I still think this gets the balance between size and stability right and at a very attractive price point. The ball head is basic but very solid. The only downside is there is no positive locking action (no release button) for the plate. If using the supplied Acra Swiss style plate (which is quite nice), there are two pins that provide a degree of protection by preventing the plate for sliding out is loosened only slightly. For plates without these pins, like my Peak Design plates which I have on all my gear, there is zero protection -- so be very careful. This is a contributing factor to dropping my rating by one star.

Incredible travel tripod - super light and compact
I own the Benro TMA38CL Mach3 Carbon tripod and was looking for something more compact and lighter when travelling or hiking. Positives Super lightweight, Great twist lock mechanism (smooth and no need to twist for ages to tighten) - Great for throwing in check in luggage when travelling abroad. - Great for strapping to backpack when going on a hike (So light and small) Negatives Ball head supplied with tripod is basic and one tension switch to control all movement but this is fine for this price > 100£ for a CF travel tripod. Wasn't expecting miracles. The bottom leg section is very thin and prone to flexing. Id recommend not to use it on unstable ground and instead work lower to the ground or extend the centre column slightly. Overall very impressed with this tripod. Once adapted with a sturdier ball head (i use the Benro B2) It holds its own. If you are looking a travel tripod - BUY THIS.

Looking for a decent travel tripod ! Just go for it eyes closed. 🙂
This is an excellent all rounder travel tripod ... I own a carbon fibre Manfrotto monopod and an aluminium Sony tripod and now this carbon fibre Benro tripod. It’s the best of both I owned before ....super easy to use and compact enough for travel anywhere. Only drawback is the control on the head supplied. Though the single knob to fix and release is easy to think but when using , suddenly the camera is dead loose on release as compared to the more expensive professional tripod heads with dedicated knobs as with the manfrotto 498rc2 that I have from before. Good part is, despite the odd angles , it holds my D90 with heavy 105 mm macro lens absolutely steady even in very odd angles unlike my Sony tripod which won’t hold the camera steady at odd angles and keeping the light weightedness in mind , the head thing doesn’t matter to me and all in all I’d mark it a five star buy 🙂👌🏼👌🏼
