Lightweight and perfect for wrist RSI sufferers!
What convinced me to purchase this model over alternative options was a very lighweight build that still packs a powerful punch! Great suction without putting too much weight related stress on your wrists when operating this vacuum. Lack of on/off trigger replaced with an on/off button is an added bonus as you don't need to keep your finger pressed while operating. I am also a big fan of the greed light highlighting otherwise difficult to notice dust on the hardwood flooring. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and well worth its price!

It brilliant love it
I gave a lot of thought before buying and which one to buy , I preferred this one as first it has a button and you dont need to keep the trigger pressing while hoovering, its lightweight compared to v15 , everything is good I didn’t mind the small collector dispenser, however dyson need to improve the battery life , as when you do deep clean probably you want have enough time to hoover the whole house this is minus! But the rest i love it , as previously owner of miele I really like this get the hoover done in no time!

Disappointing Durability for a Premium Product
I bought the Dyson V12 Detect Slim Absolute (Yellow & Nickel) in June 2023 from Amazon UK, expecting the same long-lasting quality I had with my previous Dyson (V6, which lasted nearly 10 years without any major issues).Unfortunately, after just two years of normal household use, this machine developed a serious fault. It switches off automatically after about 20 seconds of use, repeatedly, before it can be used for only a short time. I contacted Dyson support, but their only solution was to ask me to purchase a new main body and cyclone unit at a cost of £129 – with no guarantee that this would even fix the problem, as the issue could also be the battery or another part. For a product costing over £500, I expected far greater durability and better customer support. Being asked to spend so much more money on “trial and error” repairs after just two years is very disappointing.Dyson is known for innovation and quality, but sadly this experience has shaken my confidence in the brand. A vacuum cleaner at this price point should last much longer without such costly failures.

Excellent suction for a handheld.
This won’t replace my cylinder Miele, but it comes close. I wanted a quick grab and clean for those spillages, crumbs and so on. My granddaughters are coeliac, and I like to get rid of any crumbs on the furniture or floor before they get here. It’s always a bit of a hag getting a big vacuum out, plugging it in etc. We have fixed this up in a cupboard with the recharge dock, so it’s always ready. I can just about do the whole house, if I want to on a medium power, we live in a mid sized modern detached. But I usually do downstairs, pop it on the charger while I clean the bathrooms, then do upstairs. The ‘laser’ light is a revelation on hard floors, my floor looks perfectly clean till I use the floor brush! As everyone says the canister doesn’t hold a lot. But I just empty it frequently, and charge as needed. ( I do have a Gtech air ram, and the battery on that lasts for days. )Overall I’m very pleased with it, and I love the on/off button on the top rather than holding a trigger all the time. Very hard work for old hands keeping the trigger in play. This vacuum is light, easy to manoeuvre and change the tools.

Cleaner is Amazing but laser has stopped working after 2 months . Not good .

Ineffectual, clogs easily, overpriced
Needs to be on Boost to clean carpet properly or to pick up grit. Fine dust clogs it at the drop of a hat and I'm forever washing filters or dealing with the "blocked airways" message. Dyson redesign something that works into something that doesn't work, but costs 3x more. Buy something that works, like a Henry, and save hundreds.
