Basically brand new
So I've always been skeptical of buying refurbished items but my sister did it so I kinda thought why not? I bought this from the seller Wireless Source back on the 17th and I and received it on the 20th. So it was delivered quickly. It came in a brown box with a printed stickt label detailing what's inside. Upon opening the box, the phone box was wrapped nicely in packaging. I was surprised the seller had placed the phone into another box but super glad they did because it was STROMING! After taking the phone out of the box, first impressions was DAMN! The color is gorgeous and slick, the seller already put on screen protector. It was pretty much brand new! It had no scratches, chips, missing piant, absolutely NOTHING. It came with a charger and the pin to open the sim card area. The phone did come in dead so I immediately placed it on the charger. After about an hour give or take (I went to Walmart so came back so now exactly sure when it was fully charged) it was charged, and I turned it on with no issues. I set up the photo manually which was super simple to do after I inserted my sim card. I didn't need a code or anything it just asked me if I wanted to use the Sims card or use a new one. Once I verified that I wanted to use the old Sims card, it immediately recognized it as AT&T and asked me to click okay to switch over. Done. All my apps are on and updated. Everything is set to my liking and I've had no issues at all. I've had the phone for 2 full days now and the phone actually automatically adjust the brighteness if you are outside or in a dim environment. Just be careful because you have to readjust the brightness whenever you like it after. The phone battery life is pretty darn good. I'm currently at 45% and it's 5:07pm where I'm located. The phone has been used actively since 8am off charger. The camera quality is fantastic. Volume and sound is phenomenal. There is lots of storage and I have plenty more of exploring to do on the phone. I have let the phone die and had no problems with charging and turning back on. It will let you add a fingerprint for protection later one which I thought was cool because I didn't have to set thay up right away. Samsung is just the best for that. I bought a case to match the phone as well. I absolutely love the phone so far. The only downside, in my opinion, is that I can not add an SD card. Other then that, it's an exceptional phone. I will definitely update later if anything starts happening or I find cool stuff regarding the phone but so far so good!

Do your homework and you will not be disappointed
I ordered from a different vendor and it was not unlocked, so I was hesitant and really was looking around to order from someone else. And I am thrilled with this phone. Absolutely thrilled. It's perfect looks perfect its unlocked as stated.... I will say many people who leave reviews also need to realize you are buying a refurbished or renewed product. I used ChatGPT to walk me through everything I should do. Because at first I honestly thought this phone was not charging, right? Something was wrong ...but no...and there are some steps you can take to optimize everything. And initially, you should definitely do the software updates... made a huge difference. The phone is fantastic. There is a certain little responsibility on the buyer. You got a great deal. It's a fantastic phone seller, did everything perfect. It just took me a day to sort of work out some kinks, and honestly, they weren't really kinks, I did order a new charger...that made a huge difference, not the one that came with it. So just do your homework, the phone is fantastic. Would buy from the seller again. I am very happy.

I'm dissapointed
NOT FACTORY UNLOCKED! I didn't realize this immediately because it is not specifically sim-locked, and data and calling worked fine. Fast forward 6 months, I get an email from work telling me I'll be kicked off the MDM policy (work email on personal phone) unless I update my OS. Evidently it was a Verizon phone, which can only receive software updates if you have Verizon SIM card. I have spent days trying to get support from Samsung, Verizon, AT&T, Amazon, and the Amazon seller only to be told to pound sand >:[ It would seem my only option now is to take a risk with leaked / pirated firmware flashing, which I'm worried will trip the Knox security (which is the only reason I bought the phone in the first place, as Knox security was required by my employer). The phone itself is also disappointing. I started with a OnePlus 5t, which I was very happy with. When I was required to get a Samsung, I went to an A52 5g. The fingerprint sensor and face recognition were both so bad that unlocking the phone was a massive chore (something I do dozens of times a day). I suffered through this for a little while before upgrading to the S22. I very much resent the trend of under-display sensors which do not perform as well as their more visible counterparts. The S22 ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is vastly better than the optical one on the A52, but it still is inferior compared to a sensor on the back of the phone like on my older OnePlus. Heck, even my old galaxy S5 had a better fingerprint sensor. The face detection is a little better than the A52, but not as good as the OnePlus 5t. It really struggles in low light, and must be directly in front of your face. Nobody does face detection as well as Apple, but that's probably due to patent limitations (and I refuse to go back to iphone until they allow sideloading). One notable issue both the A52 and S22 suffer is an inability to detect they are in my pocket. I must deliberately place the phone with the screen facing outwards or else the fingerprint reader will constantly register false attempts against my leg (which will lock you out of using biometrics) Battery life is not impressive. Once again the 5t was better. This may not be entirely fair b/c I do use the always-on display, but on the other hand the processor should be much more efficient for how much newer it is. I mostly believe this is similar to the issue of constantly waking up in my pocket. A proper proximity sensor could have solved this rather than just using the selfie camera, which is again another example of form over function (It also seems like samsung doesn't even attempt to detect being in you pocket in order to reduce battery / ignore touch screen).

Phone is perfect
This phone is practically brand new. There is not one scratch on it and it works perfectly. Not to mention it was a complete Game Changer from my US cellular phone with the new T-Mobile switch as far as how well the service works.

Almost 5/5
A little bit under excellent condition but still really good. Fair warning for first time buyers of this product: the product comes in brown box, only phone and a charger included. DO NOT simply change your sim, it won't be that simple. You must go to your carrier in person so they may activate the Sim on your new phone. It won't just work immediately by changing it. Yes it is carrier unlocked so do not worry, the people complaining did not do the process properly. The battery may last approx 5-8 hours or less depending on usage, gaming, etc. There are some specs of dust within the top of the screen where I assume the speaker is but everything else is cosmetically good. The speed is very nice, if you are coming to an android from iPhone please beware that you must unregister your iPhone with the phone number to receive texts from iPhone phones or else it'll be stuck in imessage. Overall nice inexpensive purchase for a modern phone. - Edit: Yeah I have no idea what everyones talking about. I had an iphone x before this and the battery lasted maybe 5 hours with heavy use--with small things I could do to optimize it and even an upgraded battery. Im currently at work, work has been very slow so ive been on tiktok, instagram, tinkering with settings, texting, sending videos and photos, all at the same time while listening to a podcast since I left for work which was 2pm. It is currently 7pm and I am still at 52%. Assuming i'd use it all the same way that means this battery could've lasted me 8-10 hours, without charging!! Please get to know your phone and look at videos on tips to optimize it and extend the battery life because the battery is definitely NOT bad!!

Minor Scratches, good working phone
I waited for some time to leave this review as some customers stated that phones started working worse in a few months. I got the S22, the phone was unlocked, it was properly packaged, and there were scratches on the phone, as expected, as the phone was previously owned. While booting (which was done in the summer), the phone overheated, but it was a one-time thing that happened during the setup. The camera gets laggy and hot if in use for a long time(like a realllly long time). Overall, the CPU used with this model has the issue, so overheating is not a big deal or a surprise. During everyday life, it works great, takes good pictures, and sounds okay; the fingerprint sensor works fine, and so does the face recognition. The only thing I am not very sure of is if the phone is waterproof, but it's easy to check; I just need to meet a technician. Overall, it is a good product with enough value for the price. It came with a cable AND a charging block that gives super fast charging. I wasn't expecting it, but it was nice to get. Overall, battery life is okay; my previous phone worked almost the same, so nothing too bad for me. Also, I have turned on the battery limitation (it can only charge up to 85% now), and I still go through 2/3 of the day. I always have a charger by my side and never really drained the battery, but I guess it would go through the day with constant use.

First World Disappointments
Part of me feels guilty for assessing so critically. I have a hand-held computer in my pocket that functions far beyond what we could have hoped for a decade ago. Even so, this hasn't been an absolute win for me. This is my first Samsung phone in many years. I think the S4 or S5 may have been my last Galaxy. I've loved Moto phones for the last several years, and this definitely lacks some of the functionality that I've come to enjoy from Motorola: shaking for the flashlight, side button screenshots, hovering over for the time on lockscreen. The camera is an improvement over my Moto Z4. And the processor does seem to be quite effective. But the battery is far weaker than I was expecting, and I'm a little worried about how bad it may get after a year or two of use if it's this much of a challenge now (6 weeks of use). Additionally, the fingerprint sensor is very finicky. I'm guessing I have about a 30% success rate with it. I have a screen protector on, which may be a factor, but it's the same brand of protector that I have used for years without issue on my Motos. (And I did try another brand of protector, but it brought the success rate down to about 5%.) Set-up was more challenging than Moto set ups are. The Samsung app promised to reset my screen and everything, but I had to manually set it up after running the Samsung setup process. Perhaps it was challenged by having to move from a different brand, but I wasn't impressed. Samsung is supposed to be top of the line for Android, but I'll be seriously considering other options when this wears out. My hope is that Moto will catch up to industry standards, but if not, I may be willing to accept a slower processor in exchange for a better overall user experience. If I change my mind, I'll come back and update this review.

Excellent refurbished phone; great phone for the price
Refurbished phone is in excellent condition. Everything works as it should; phone was unlocked; phone readily worked with my Koodo SIM card. Some minor blemishes at the top right corner of the side of the phone are the only hint that this is a refurbished phone; I'm not at all concerned about these marks as the phone is going into a case. Screen and audio are perfect; wireless charging works; USB charging works. The S22 gets a bad rap for battery life but my battery has been just fine. Now, I don't take selfies every few minutes; I don't photograph every meal; I don't tweet or post or stream while walking or driving -- so maybe my use is a little lightweight compared to what the skibidi rizzler kids are doing these days (yo). Battery typically handles two days of of normal use. When I transferred data from my old phone, the S22 did get warm and you could actually watch the battery percentage tick down as the phones ultrasonically spoke with one another. Several Android updates installed themselves during initial setup, and again the phone got warm and used a lot of battery. I am guessing that was some pretty intense activity, as after that the phone has not gotten warm during anything I've been doing and battery life has been excellent. Am only disappointed with one thing: Samsung fakes moon photos. I tried taking photos of a recent full moon without a tripod. Holding the phone by hand, I zoomed in on the moon. The moon was an unfocused blur for most of the photos. But then, once after zooming, the moon suddenly snapped from an unfocused blob into a sharp image. The change on the screen was surprising -- it was very sudden, very unlike the slow sharpening of an image coming into focus: one moment the moon was a blob, then *SNAP!* it was a clear image. Totes fake and Samsung should be ashamed of themselves for pulling this sort of nonsense. If I find out that my photos of the northern lights are fake, I'm going to be really cheesed off. That's my only disappointment with the phone -- lunar photo fakery. Shame, Samsung, shame. Other than that, am very pleased with the phone and the seller -- highly recommended.
