Nice travel size, not a favorite shampoo/conditioner
I hoped my wavy hair would react well with Royal Locks shampoo/conditioner set, but I have to say it doesn't give me the light feel and volume that I get from another brand. But I do use the Pro Curl from them as my shower wet leave in. I'll use them for traveling until they are used up.

Awesome set
I’ve enjoyed using this brand on my natural curls for a while now. It cleans my hair well and doesn’t leave my curls dry. This set is perfect for me to take when I travel. It smells good and works really well. I especially like the defining curling cream to keep my curls moisturized. Highly recommended

Good, not great
There’s nothing bad about this set but I’m not seeing results that are anything special either. I have wavy hair that tends to have some frizz and after following the steps of this hair care routine for over a week, I don’t see a difference. My hair isn’t any more defined, curly, or less frizzy than when I use store bought products that are specifically for curly hair. I hope this helps, happy shopping!

Two out of three isn't bad
I wanted so badly for the Royal Locks NEW Wave Essentials for hair to be the answer to tame my Midwest humidity-induced frizz, but alas it wasn't to be. My hair type is a more intense wave than curl, but it is thick and coarse in texture so when the dew point rises my hair never behaves. The first time trying Royal Locks I noticed right away that the product's fragrance was pleasant and not overpowering. When I went to wash my hair with the shampoo I found the consistency to be too thin, I had to use half the bottle just to get the feeling of a good lather. One preexisting factor to note that may have contributed to the lack of lather where I live the water is very hard so a good lather, in general, can be challenging, but that doesn't mean it can not be done. I then tried the conditioner, it was indeed better but after rinsing that out of my hair I wasn't yet won over. Finally, The Dream Cream, this one thankfully was a hit. After towel drying my hair and air drying for ten minutes, I applied about a nickel size amount of the cream from my scalp to the ends. I then scrunched softly up to define my waves. Once fully dried, my hair stayed relaxed and the waves remained defined. The style held like this throughout the day until I eventually brushed my hair which then left it soft and tame.I did decide to try the products again, but this time it was my personal go-to shampoo, then the conditioner, and the dream cream. For reasons of maybe it is the shampoo, I had significantly better results with how my hair felt after following this routine. It was as if the hair was better primed for the other two products, allowing the conditioner and the cream to really do the job they were meant to do.Given my experiences, I would recommend skipping the shampoo in this set, it was unimpressive and disappointing in all aspects. I would however recommend giving the conditioner and dream cream a try, I was very happy with how my hair felt and looked after using these two products, so you just might be too.

Felt great on my hair
I really like this trial size set, which allowed me to sample the shampoo, conditioner and styling cream. I am letting my naturally curly hair air dry after using all three of these and it seems to like this product. The shampoo lathered really well and smelled nice. The conditioner felt moisturizing though I would have liked just a little more "slip" to it. The Dream Cream was easy to apply, overall if my hair continues to respond well to this, I would buy it again.

Contains silicones, works well as a set
When I started my hair journey I read about no parabens or sulfates. Then I read about avoiding silicones. What I have learned is it takes a sulfate or some more clarifying sulfate free shampoo to remove most silicones or they can build up. Silicone build up makes my hair fragile and brittle. When used together the shampoo keeps the silicones from building up. Silicones can be a great conditioning agent that lock in moisture, which this set does well. When used together this set makes my hair soft and does a good job hydrating my curls and leaving them bouncy. They have decent hold and shape. It is not my favorite both due to price and my hair isn't as curly as with some other products but its a nice set.

Works well for wavy hair
I have naturally wavy hair and have tried other popular brands to tame the frizz and felt that this brand worked quite well. The set is great for travel: It comes with a low lather shampoo, conditioner and serum. I washed my hair a few times with the shampoo (as I usually only wash a few times a week and feel that when I use low lather shampoo, I need to wash through more than once), conditioner and serum. I dried my hair with an old cotton t- shirt and let my hair air dry. It turned out great with a natural wave/curl with very little frizz. Very happy with this set. The only downfall, I think, was that it wasn’t too scented, but that really doesn’t matter, since it does a good job.

salon quality, soft curls
I’ve used the Royal Locks full sized set before and enjoyed it, and was happy to see a travel size. The scent and quality remind me of salon products and my hair curls really well with it. Actually, the Dream Cream is a little different than the Cream Gel I’ve tried. This cream is a little thicker than the gel and seems to work a little better (better hold). I used plenty, making sure to cover all of my hair, and didn’t need to use any other mousse or gel like I usually need to. My curls were soft and any ‘crunchy’ sections were easy to break, especially if I used a little hair oil. Definitely worth a try!
