I purchased a ram from a friend. She had Never fed him sheep feed. Only Alfalfa pellets. He developed crystals in his urine that blocked him up and when I first got the ram, I had to go to the vet. Putting a sheep under anesthesia is a delicate and possibly fatal endeavor. While I do feed (alternately) with a sheep/goat feed that has Ammonium Chloride, my Vet recommended this product to prevent any issues with my male sheep. This includes Weathers (a neutered male sheep).

I highly recommend this product, my goat is doing very well. Highly recommend alter rating scoop sizes (half a scoop one day ,full scoop next day ,so animal doesn’t become accustom … and I also suggest mixing it with cranberry juice. Because of the bitter taste.

I am using a small pinch of this Ammonium Chloride in my cats food to prevent her from getting a bladder infection. It works as well and is WAY less expensive than the prescription cat food sold at the Vet.Just use a very very small amount. This bag will last me forever.

Good product works

My vet suggested giving one of my goats ammonium chloride via drench. I did, and her urinary tract issues seem to have been corrected. Yes, it’s kind of rare, but possible, female goats can develop urinary tract crystals too. But, Birdie doesn’t! Not any more thanks to the ammonium chloride. Will keep this on hand in the future.

Was recommended from the vet, was not available locally. Frustrated this is sold as a prime item and was not delivered in a timely fashion. Was easily administered with aftermarket syringes into the mouth. I'm still confused why the bag says it can be applied as a drench? Goat was suffering from poor urinary expelling. Saw results within the first week, continue to treat for an additional 4 weeks daily.

Great to mix into goat minerals that don't already contain ammonium chloride.

Only place I could find it, reasonable price and delivery.
