Sailor Jerry Tattoo Flash: Rise & Shine: Vol. 1 Paperback – June 1, 2014

I bought this Sailor Jerry flash book for my girlfriend as a Christmas present, and when we opened the book and looked at it together, I wished I had bought it for myself! It has some amazing flash art, some designs you've probably already seen but a lot that aren't very common and harder to come by. Some great designs, I was so inspired to get another tatt after looking at the pictures that I did go get one about a week later! A must-have for any Sailor Jerry Collins fan!

Great price on a great collection of flash. thank you Ed Hardy for producing these books. Great reference for any Tattooer or anyone interested in getting a traditional tattoo. Everyone should have at least one sailor jerry piece.

I am a HUGE Sailor Jerry fan and was stoked when I finally found a copy of this book that wasn't over [..]. But when I got it, I really wasn't that impressed. Most if not all the flash art in this book I have seen online or else where in other books already. I was under the impression that this book was a collection of Sailor Jerry's rare and hard to find pieces, but that's not the case here. Not that I wouldn't recommend this book, It's a must of any fan or tattoo fanatic. Just don't expect to see anything in here that you haven't seen before.

This book is absolutely beautiful. I have used a friend's copy to get ideas for my tattoos and I finally needed to buy my own copy. Sailor Jerry was/is the quintessential tattoo artist of the '40s-'70s and is experiencing a resurgence in popularity. People are once again appreciating the humor and the detail of his work. For anyone interested in the art of the tattoo, the book is an essential purchase. My next piece is his classic cowgirl for my back (oh, and I am a woman and I can appreciate that his stuff was not just for sailors).

Bought as a gift. Would definately buy others in the series
