Bought for a 2017 Equinox. On the old Fob the buttons were basically none existent. They had worn out really bad. Originally bought just an empty case to replace the old one. That was incredibly ridiculous to get apart and swap out the electronics. Basically damaged the inside electronic board and wouldn’t work. Bought this one and just swapped out with the old key. So I didn’t need to do any key cutting. I read the program instructions on the recommended web page and had it programmed in no time flat. All the buttons work. This fob works and fit perfectly. If you’re contemplating getting a case or this fob - save yourself a headache and get this fob. It was well worth the money spent.

I love this key! Buying it on Amazon saved me a lot of money compared to locksmiths and the dealer, but it's still great quality. The process was easy. I had the key part cut at the dealer, and then I followed the simple instructions to program the electronics myself. Now it works perfectly—locking, unlocking, opening the trunk, and starting the car just like the original. It saved me money and was much less trouble than I expected. Tried at first to program the fob. It did program but I had to stand right by the door to get it to work. After a week, the programming failed. I was going to return the fob but decided to check the battery. Volt meter showed the installed battery at 1.5v. The 2032 is a 3v battery. I put in a new one - it programmed perfectly and has functioned without any problems for nearly a year now. Will save you a bunch over an OEM from the dealer.

The quality of the remote is good, just as good as the OEM it was replacing. The buttons have good feel and have a solid click. I had to have a local locksmith cut the key which was expensive but everything works. It programmed easily but I think it runs the battery down faster than my old remote. I got about 2 months of battery life out of it before having to change the battery.

Dangerous if you're trying to re-use an OEM Buick Verano metal key since the key does not lock into place when the key is fully extended. As a result, the weight of the key fob causes it to bend up to 90 degrees while the key is in the ignition, so that it's easy to rotate the key and accidentally turn off the ignition while you are driving by bumping the key fob, or even by the weight of it causing the key to rotate. This actually happened to me last weekend and my car shut off while I was driving in a parking lot. To use this key fob, you need to get the metal key re-cut using the blank that they supply with this key fob (expensive). If you want to re-use the existing OEM metal key (which is much cheaper), you need to find a different brand of key fob where the metal key locks into place when it's extended 180 degrees relative to the key fob. Somehow the notches in the hinge device in this key fob aren't quite aligned correctly for my OEM Verano metal key to lock into place when it's fully extended.

Bought this when I got locked out of my car to save money on getting a key reprogrammed. I didn’t end up saving any money by providing my own key and the buttons do not always work. It takes several tries but when it does work, it works well. It may just need a new battery.

Paid $15 for the fob here on Amazon then had batteries plus here where I live in las vegas cut the blank key which cost another $20 then I programed it myself which took 2 minutes... now some batteries plus stores in various locations around the country may tell you they cant just charge you for only cutting the blank key... they'll tell you they need to program it it too which is a lot more money. That's BS... they're just trying to get more money and they dont wanna be liable for damage to your new blank key....dont let them con you into programming too. You can do it easily.... look up programing directions online..so as long as you have one of the original keys you can get this done for a fraction of what the dealership wants. They need the original key to cut the new one. You might need a new battery which you can find at Walmart or anywhere. The batteries they send in the fob don't last long. After a month it was dead.... in total I paid $36 first then another $5 later for the new battery.
