Dark Mountain (David Wolf Book 10)

I loved the series. The action was great with the story. I've been exhausted for 2 weeks because I had to finish the book before 1 O'clock in the morning everyday. Great reading.

I'll explain four stars first. That is the best I give anyone because give stars are reserved for classics, be they children's --Heidi, Robinson Caruso, etc. or adult fiction from the likes of Hemingway, F. Scott, etc.Now my review. It is rare I can read a series one after the other but Mr. Carson has hooked me. Usually, the writing tired and a sameness sets in. Each of these books has been fresh, engaging in its own right. The characteristics are wonderful. Each plot carries its own weight while adding the past so I recommend doing what I did--read them in order. Excellent, believable writing.I have only one suggestion. Quit beating up these people! They've broken so many bones, lost limbs, and been hit in the head so many times, I wonder how they function! Otherwise, upward and onward to Number 11. Thank you for a great series.

This series just keeps getting better. Most series fade out or just repeat themselves trying to stay afloat, this series is evolving and is progressing at a convincing rate. Keep it up.

5+ Stars. Short review: Read it! Jeff Carson is a must buy, must read author. His David Wolf series is thoroughly enjoyable, compelling and most of all, realistic.Easy to follow stand-alone that draws the reader into the storyline. You feel the emotions of the characters, easily inserting yourself in their thought process.Believable characters with distinct personalities and issues that make them all the more realistic.Interesting, informative, thought-provoking and snarky dialogue.The ME rolled his eyes and leaned down to her with a lowered voice. “Facebook Live, a laptop and a smart phone, and we’re in the building with them. I came up with the idea.”Well, like Dad used to say, ‘Put your sh@@ back in your a@@!"Four evenings ago, he’d brushed shoulders with death more than once. He’d resigned himself to dying. More than that, he’d expected it. He’d held his final breath, felt warm blood on his face, and never expected to take another. And yet now he lived. Coming out of the ordeal, he felt an underlying impatience with any of the bullsh@@, petty pursuits of the normal lives of the living.I will re-read this story and always look forward to, pre-order when possible, new works by this author.

Another excellent book. The book is full of suspense and drama. It kept me hooked up to the last page.

This is an amazing thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The twists and turns will keep you reading until the end. This one has a psychological twist, with lots of mystery and suspense

These books take this 81 year old grandma reading past my bedtime. Love the stories, difficult to put down. I’ve just finished book ten, on to book eleven.

Excellent, once again!Have just finished books 1 - 10 in the David Wolf series.I have enjoyed each one. It makes a pleasant change for characters to develop as a book series progresses. So often they seem to remain static, but David Wolf has both aged and matured throughout the series, and the other characters have done the same.There will always be niggles, especially if you are a pedant, like me, but this has been a great series - any more to come?

I loved this book! It was such an interesting read and well written . Loved the ending with Wolf and Lauren getting hitched.💕

The end of a mammoth back to back read over the last few weeks and thoroughly enjoyed mostvof the books. This one was one of the good ones, with a few loose ends, which hopefully will mean another book. But....what happened to Jet? No mention yet again so one assumes he has passed on, but i would have thought after featuring heavily in books 7 and 8, we would have been told. Sorry Jeff, disappointed in you to create him, then do away with him so carelessly.

Great story - I am really enjoying reading the David Wolf series of stories. Well worth a read.

This was the first Jeff Carson book I have read, I loved it. I have since ordered more. If you like murder and mayhem these books are great.
