Tabac by Maurer & Wirtz Aftershave Balm 75ml

Excellent manly scent that stays with you. Very refreshing and I’ve been using Tabac products for decades. Excellent quality.

You betcha he does! He is an "old shaver" in that he's still using a brush and a mug to shave with. Armed with his Tabac shaving mug, and his Mekkur brush and razor, my hubby gets a superb shave, each and every time. I've never complained about his not shaving, but I applaud the way his face feels afterwards, especially against my face. Couple that feeling with the soft, woodsy scent of the After Shave (or the Cologne, as he has both) and my hubby stinks good! He does indeed! Since it's a soft fragrance, you may be surprised to find out that it stays for a very long time. He's donned some in the morning, and we've gone out, and upon our return in the late, but early evening, he's tossed water on his face, and you can clearly smell the scent of the product.

Excellent finish to a great shave. Give your face a real treat, and feel and smell like a gentleman. Pair this with the Tabac shaving soap, and post shave lotion, and that's your perfect shave. If you're a head shaver, this leaves your scalp feeling refreshed, and keeps you properly moisturized.

Great masculine 'Old School' scent. Soothing on the face after shaving.

Smells great. I get complements on the scent. It burns a little after a shave, but no more than other aftershaves. A small dab tends to go a long way, and it seems to moisturize/ prevent skin irritation.

Great non-greasy balm. Scented in the unmistakable fragrance of Tabac. A perfect finish to shave that utilized Tabac cream, then Tabac aftershave, I own Tabac deodorant, Cologne, and shower gel too. Shipping was fast for being overseas.

It is definitely a scent that takes time to get used to. Begins with a rotten & sweet essence, but mellows in time to a mild cologne & vegetal aroma. I don’t catch any tobacco. The tube is rather small for the price.

Good smell. Really helps to cool down the skin after a shave and seems to do a great job against razor burn. It’s quite heavy on the scent though for a balm. A pleasant scent, but not one I like for everyday. I’d expect an aftershave to be more heavy and a balm to be more neutral with a swift perfume that doesn’t linger too long. For that I therefor default often to a more neutral balm or cream.

Very good product with distinctive Tabac fragrance.

I have always loved Tabac products, and was overjoyed to find them again (online) a few years ago, after they disappeared from retail outlets in the UK and North America. I have tried both the liquid after shave, and this balsam/balm (which is like a cream - both of which are different from the Eau de Cologne. Having three products like this can be confusing). I much prefer the balsam, although I do like the after shave, too. I will continue to buy Tabac, although I had a bad experience recently buying the deodorant spray from a UK vendor - got charged a huge amount for shipping, and my employer was charged the shipping fee because I had the product shipped to my workplace. This has never happened before, and was annoying and embarrassing. So, my advice would be to be very careful about who you buy Tabac products from.
