I drink a cup (or two) of tea before bed each night to help me wind down. Lately, I have been drinking the "Pukka Organic Night Time Berry Herbal Tea with Chamomile, Echinacea, and Elderberry". As the Pukka brand had been so delicious (and such an unusual but yummy) flavor, I wanted to try more from them!As I use the tea to relax before bed, Chamomile tea seemed like the next natural option to try. The package arrived nicely boxed and again had a great presentation. Each tea box and the individual tea bags look very nice (and could be used if you were selecting a gift for a tea lover).Much to my surprise... this tea had an unexpected flavor profile and smelled/tasted like black licorice which I actually enjoyed a lot. My father loves tea so I shared a box with him and he noticed the same strong scent and taste of black licorice.This tea was fantastic just like the nighttime berry! Because of how good this tea was (and the first order was), I have already ordered a third flavor to try! Such unique teas!All in all, if you like licorice and a relaxing tea - this is your new dream tea! For others, maybe not so much.

First, I know the temptation of heating water in a microwave: quick and easy, right? But this tea is all about using your electric tea kettle or boiling water on the stove. So, take that little extra time and you will be glad you did. Now, pour the water over this tea bag and then really let it steep. Like, fifteen minutes or more! So, take a relaxing bath and when you are done, this tea will be ready. (Don't rush this one).This is great when you are unwinding with a book or enjoying some late night television. It is a classic: very relaxing. And the warmth of the tea will also relax you. It's a very subtle and pretty blend. This is one where I usually skip the honey since I can appreciate the flavors a bit more without the honey (and, usually, because I'm drinking this before bedtime). So, it's a great stand-alone tea.Such a charming part of one's nightly ritual! Another hit from Pukka!

I purchased this for a morning tea to help with my stomach issues. The licorice taste and smell is dominate along with the chamomile taste to the tea, but still mild. I did not detect the vanilla or the manuka honey, which did not really give it a sweet taste. If you do not care for licorice you may not enjoy it. It has been easy on my stomach, no issues with it and seems to have helped.

The Chamomile, Vanilla, and Manuka Honey Pukka tea is organic and naturally caffeine free. There are three boxes of 20 individually wrapped tea bags per box. This tea was made in the UK.I absolutely love this herbal tea! It’s a delicate and soothing tea. I think it would make a wonderful evening tea but I like to drink it anytime. It is very subtly sweet from the Manuka Honey. The main ingredient is chamomile flower (68.5%) and the chamomile taste is the strongest flavor of this tea but the other flavors beautifully complement and enhance it. One thing to note is that this tea contains licorice root. Personally, I like its flavor and scent very much but I know that not everyone does. If you don’t like it, I don’t recommend this tea for you because the licorice flavor is noticeable. The licorice scent is quite strong but mostly from the dry tea bags. Once the tea is ready the licorice scent is there but not as strong as when the tea is dry.For me, this is one of the best chamomile based teas I’ve ever had and I highly recommend it.

Pukka teas are usually delicious but the first time I tried one I didn't like it at all. I felt it was too weak, had neither flavor nor aroma, and was overpriced for its poor quality. But then I read the steeping instructions on the box that read "infuse for up to 15 minutes" and I began to understand the nature of this excellent but subtle brand.Steep the tea bag in the cup using freshly boiled water for 15-30 minutes, if possible. Upon completion, dunk the tea bag as many times as you wish, but at least ten times for best effect (I'll often dunk many more times than that, depending on the tea).Pukka teas have a subtle depth of flavor that requires infusing with a little effort. The difference in flavor is dramatic. The tea opens up and all of its flavor is released. This tea features chamomile, vanilla and Manuka honey. It's slightly sweet, well-balanced, and I find it very soothing, especially in the evening. Most good herbal teas will release a bit of sediment in the cup. It's harmless, tastes of the herbs and can be ignored if it's an issue.
