Succulent Planter Kit - Terrarium Kit with Succulent Soil, Gravel, Pebble, Moss,

Just the right amount of everything needed for my terrarium. Very pleased with quality and it came within 2 days. I didnt end up with a lot left over to store.

I did a Lowe's kids craft terrarium with my kid, but I didn't want to spend a ton of money on a bunch of supplies I wouldn't use. The amount of supplies in this set was perfect for a small terrarium. I recommend this if you're just looking for a small project.

The quality of the kit and the directions were easy to assemble and looked great. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because it was a less soil/rocks than I was expecting. It’s enough to plant a 6inch pot (roughly).

I got the medium kit and used it with a one gallon plastic fish bowl I purchased from another Amazon vendor. I had one succulent in a two inch pot, and three baby seedling "Mother of Thousands" plants that I planted in here, along with the moss. Perfect amount of everything, and great simple instructions included. My kids loved helping with this-- especially with placing the rocks at the very end. I have a couple miniature fairy figurines coming tomorrow to finish the decor. I'm very pleased with how this kit worked out and would definitely order from this vendor again. It's worth it to have just the right amount of everything and not to have to spend extra on bulk amounts of supplies that I don't need.

This made creating a new planter for my succulents easy and attractive. The instructions are easy to follow and would be a great project to do with kids. Add your own items to make your planter or terrarium more personal. I added some Buddhas I had. The rocks can with the kit. At about 6” in diameter I would say I maxed out the kit ingredients. This is for small planters. My container has no lid, it is a cylinder so it is more of a planter than a terrarium, I ordered a second kit today for a smaller, teardrop, glass container.

I got this right at the start of my succulent ownership, when I didn’t know what I was doing. As I learned more about the plants and proper planting, I found that should half the items in this kit are inappropriate for succulents. The gravel at the bottom is not recommended, since it essentially just shortens the pot and doesn’t drain water as well as you’d think. The moss on top is wrong wrong wrong and retains too much water, encouraging root rot and growing mold itself. Large rocks are not recommended as top dressing - use a pumice or other porous material. Each of the individual components of this kit is good quality - I especially like this soil mix, which is great for succulents - but the problem is that half the items shouldn’t be used with succulents in the first place.

This planter kit is great. I received a succulent as a gift but it was dying in a tiny pot. I wanted to transfer it to a wine glass, but I knew I needed a lot of sand and rocks to keep in dry in that sort of container. Since I live in a tiny city apartment, I really didn't want to buy large bags of raw materials. This kit was the answer! It has enough material for most small succulents, as well as instructions on how to put it all together. Now my succulent is thriving in its wine glass and looks great.

My betta died and I wanted to use his bowl as a little planter. I bought the medium one, but for the effect I was going for, I ended up adding the pebbles and marbles I had in his tank as well as maybe an additional 8oz of potting soil. But the kit is pretty neat, it gives you just what you need. I was thinking about just buying the stuff separately but it would have ended up being way more expensive and what the hell am I going to do with giant bags of moss and charcoal. Anyway, I'm happy with the purchase, if I decide to do another little garden I'm totally getting the same product.
