Great tool for teaching to ski!
Took a few days of the slope ropes to get the kiddo going on her own. Great product and works as intended. Don't be afraid to drop the ropes and let em take off on their own!

Totally Sold on Slope Ropes after one use!
These are the perfect training device. I've been skiing since I was 3 and now am teaching my son who just turned 4. These are great because they encourage good form (as indicated in the product info section). They also give my son comfort because he knows I'm there (but he can't see that 1/2 the time I let the slack down so much that he's actually skiing on his own!) This builds great confidence. Also it's nice because I can hold it with one hand and still steer him in the right directions. It's more of an encouragement than a pull, so again, it helps build good form and confidence in my little skiier. As mentioned in the product info, it's nice to use these to pull him too and also the fact that they easily wrap up and fit inside my coat pocket for the chair lift or holding my son on the rope tow is really convenient. I really couldn't speak any more highly for what is essentially two plastic tubes with some rope in between :) Great concept and extremely well executed!

Works as advertised and helped my two daughters feel safe and have the correct balance.
My two daughters (4 yrs. & 2 yrs, 8 mo.) benefited greatly from using these ropes. My oldest daughter went skiing twice last year, but usually after just 2-3 times down the bunny slopes (Magic Carpet at Snoqualmie Summit in WA), she didn't want to ski anymore because she would get scared from going too fast, causing her to fall and end up with her legs in an uncomfortable position. This year, it started out about the same, but on our second trip up to the slopes, I used these ropes and she really enjoyed them and was able to go about 7-10 times before being tired and wanting to stop, and we were able to make two trips to the bunny slopes each day. She started off holding on to the bar, but after a while, she was willing to let go and just have her hands in front of her to help with balance. With a slight twisting of the bar I was holding, I was able to have some effect on guiding her direction, but a lot still depended on her own control of her skis and body. This might be partially due to the fact I was using it on the bunny slope so there was not enough tension on the ropes because of the slow speed and very low incline of the slope. I think it should work better if we were going down some beginner slopes. For my younger daughter, this was her first year skiing, and she wanted to quit in the middle of her second run down the bunny slope (she is not as physically coordinated as my older daughter). She was very afraid of the speed (even though it wasn't very fast) and not being able to hold onto my hand (but if she held on to my hand, her balance was way off). On our second trip, she saw her older sister use these ropes and she wanted to use them as well. She was able to go down the bunny slopes about 3-5 times before being tired and wanting to take a break (an improvement from before). She holds onto the bar and hasn't been willing to let go yet, but she has not expressed any fears about going to fast, or needing to hold my hand.Unfortunately, because of Covid-19, the ski resort that we normally go to decided to end their season early, and so we used these ropes on two days. However, I plan to buy another set of ropes for next year so both daughters can use them at the same time, but that means also getting my wife to help out holding the ropes.

Easy ski trainer that lets them learn!
4.5 stars, honestly. The only problem was still needing the lift handle of the harness to help my 3-year-old up from falls and on/off the chair lift. She and I both prefer this to the clip on straps. With the rope I can verbally direct her turns (and as time has gone on she can just turn when she thinks she should) instead of fighting against the pull of the harness. Great for quick on/off ath the lift once all involved are trained in. Easy to wrap up and carry in the lift line. Fits compactly in the boot bag. Love this product.

Useful and well-made
I paid for this with my own money and am not receiving any compensation for this review. This product is awesome! It provides way more versatility then backpack style tethers. Unfortunately my daughter did not get much use out of it because it worked great to provide her with enough practice to increase her confidence enough to ski on her own after using this on only a few runs on the beginner hill. Later, when my son was slightly more advanced and wanted to ski from the top of the mountain we were able to use it to get him safely down some of the steeper sections while working on his technique. When not in use, it fits in my ski pants pocket. Not the most comfortable but it works. Overall I highly recommend to help teach the little ones how to get down a hill safely and in control. It is sturdy and well-made.

Not my favorite.
This didn't work well for me personally. I found it to be too cumbersome to manage the rope when I needed to keep my 3 year old closer to me. I personally think a ski harness would have worked better. That being said, it might work better for a slightly older child...

Easy to ski with a kid. Kid likes these!
Hey, I love this thing and a kid likes it! Apparently my 2,5 y.o. is able to ski on her own in front of me holding to this rope. It was so relaxing for me (compared to holding kid by the waist and bending over her all the way down the hill), that I even took several videos of her skiing. But videos are too big to post. Ropes fit in my jacket pocket for a lift ride. We were skiing for 3 hours straight! Went on blue slopes on a 3rd day. Totally recommend. Great item!

Great trainer!
2 year update: my now 5 year old is skiing on her own on blues! My 3 year old can ski on his own on a blue, if I help control his speed with this. I still highly recommend using this to teach.Original: This works really well, I highly recommend using this. It's really easy to use. Have kid hang on to bar or put under arms, guide direction and control speed as needed. Second time out with this my 3 year old made it down the beginner Hill without falling.

Very useful
Great harness for kids that are a bit too big for the typical strap in harnesses. Quick, easy, and safe to use

Skiing with kids
These plastic ropes help you ski with your children so much. in front of you you can keep control of your children, without the risk of crashing into them.

Ski Aid
just used this on a ski holiday for a nearly five year old child, was absolutely perfect for the job, she was able to ski safely until she was more confident to do it on her own, gave her parents comfort and control, has enough length for the child to be able to move about from side to side without parents tripping over her if she fell and slowed her up if needed

Great harness but also a great tow
We had major success with this harness in just one day. It not only is a great harness that still allows your child to feel secure but not dependent on it, but at the bottom of the hill you can just flip it over to the front and tow them. So handy! You can also roll it up into your pocket for the lift if they are deep enough. 100% worth it.

Great reins to build confidence
Brilliant and so much better than a backpack style harness as really encourages correct posture. Also handy for towing on flat!
