American Water Heaters 6910605 Water Heater Electronic Control Board Kit Genuine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Part

My water heater was flashing a continuous green light. Searching showed the board was bad. I ordered this one and there are two things to watch for. As in the image you can see the original board on the right has the yellow and orange wires swapped on the new board on the left. If you don't swap these wires the thermister will try and control the wrong element. There is also the addition of a reset switch. I'm not for sure, but it seemed like it might be hitting the bottom of the enclosure cover. At the bottom of that switch, the long button is held on by two small clips. You can squeeze those in and pull the button off. This way you just have a small button to push. Everyting else seems to fit the same.

Works great. Slightly different than what was on my water heater, but worked great. Checked everywhere, even the manufacturer of our water heater and no one could help us with the model number or part number. Kinda hard to give the information when the sticker has been torn off and you don't have any books/papers on the water heater due to you buying the house with it already installed. Thanks so much for making this simple. Even comes with instructions of how to install and wiring.

Took the old blown one out wired this one in and like magic, hot water heater is running again. It’s been a several months and still works like a charm.

Not quite sure what can break a rather simple control board like this. It gets warm. Well, better a control board than a new water heater.

This fixed my water heater thankfully. Be sure to not believe the one review stating that you have to switch the orange and red wires. That is a falacy that causes issues. Once installed as intended, it works great!

Perfect part for my water heater and we have hot water again. Easy to replace with step by step directions and pictures.
