Love these so, so much
I bought a set of these after my baby was born. Life got crazy fast and we didn't get around to doing them until she was two months old. Now I'm kicking myself for not doing it right away and not making more sets! They came out so incredibly cute and are someone I'm so excited to give her when she's older as a keepsake of her babyhood! I bought a second set and did a set for my husband and I to keep as well. The little letter stamps are cool to press whatever message you want into the clay. It's very easy to use and if you make a mistake, you just mush it back up and try again. The end result also comes out nice and thick so I'm not too worried about them breaking either. I've now bought three sets total and am going to do my dogs' feet too! Literally can't say a single bad thing about them!

Loved this kit! Especially, since it's reusable! Perfect for baby shower gift!
Reason I bought it: I wanted to do a cute memento of my baby. The shapes fit my 3 week old hands and both feet. I am not sure how much longer I can fit them for my baby but I plan on using the stencils again. I might have to make an image with the baby's thumb prints like bear ears and paint a bear when the baby is bigger. I love the alphabet letters it comes with they work really well. Pros: -Easy to use -Cute molds -Reusable -Very cheap but great quality kit Cons: -Takes two people to make a good print (See tip below) -Can be hard to redo if you take too long (Not products fault since that's what air dry clay does. Just user error) Tip: -The clay dries quickly so get your baby in your arms and have someone else prep the molds. Plus have some oil on hand preemptively if it starts to dry. We had to scramble to find oil to reset one mold that didn't turn out correctly the first go and it was already starting to crack. Then the baby started fussing because we took too long to reset the mold. Overall: Great product to do as a couple and also for owners of pets. Although, I didn't use it for my dog/cats I can see this being very cute to do as well; especially for older dogs/cats as a keepsake. I wish I did this before one of my cats passed away. As I am usually the artistic one, my spouse loved how easy this was to make and really enjoyed the end result. I highly recommend this as a baby shower gift and wish that my family gave it to me instead of the piles of clothes my baby outgrew in a week!

so special!
you should order this now because you never know... I ordered this a while ago and never got around to doing it and one of my cats passed away and I never got to make her paw print... thankfully, the place that did her cremation made a beautiful clay paw print for me. I decided to wait until I was ready to get a new kitten to make them. That day finally came and of course I couldn't find the original kit. But it's such a special idea and relatively inexpensive so I ordered another. I actually ordered two because now I had three pet pets. I have a pet skunk, a cat, and now a new kitten. I made them right away and now they are in the process of drying. They were extremely easy to make with simple instructions. The paint didn't come with the color to match my decor so I bought a small thing of paint elsewhere. They came out beautifully! I recommend having a second person to help you put pressure on their paws because it's hard to hold your pet and put pressure at the same time. I can't wait to decorate them! I also would recommend cutting the letters apart, so you can press them into the clay without another letter being in the way. I would order this 100 times over to have this special keepsake forever! UPDATE: I added a photo of the end result. I am so in love with how they came out! rowan's needs a little touching up, so I'm waiting for some white paint to come but other than that they're better than I could've hoped for since I have zero artistic talent. I'm obsessed!

Decent ornament kit
Decent ornament kit for capturing handprints or footprints. The size is perfect for capturing baby hands/feet or pet paw prints. The instructions are easy to follow and I was impressed at the quality for the price. Beautiful gift and fun for kids to give as well. I would recommend this!

Crazy good for the price- very pleased!
These kits are so amazing, especially for the price! The packaging is cute enough to be a gift. It's all straightforward and comes with everything needed- dough/gift bags/ornament ribbon/straw to punch out the ornament hole/letters to imprint in the dough. Not to mention the fact that it's two per kit. Super cute!! I made a bunch of christmas gifts with my baby's foot/hand prints but it would also be so cute for pets!!

UPDATE: SECOND ATTEMPT
I reviewed this baby ornament kit a month or so at 3 stars. After a second attempt, I decided to update my review to a 5 star! As I said in my first review, this kit is easy and simple to use. My first attempt was moreso smears of my newborn hands and feet. It came out nice, but not very detailed. Then with the pain, it was a mess. Tips: Make sure your baby is calm, asleep or that you have extra hands to help. This time I pressed my baby hands and feet more gently. I am not sure if I will paint, but if I do I will mix my colors (blue and red) with white to lighten it up! Also, make sure you know what message you want to engrave beforehand so that you can adjust the placement of your baby's mold correctly followed by your message. You can even do your message first if you have help. Just be sure not to wait too long because the ornament will crack if you do this while it's partially dry. Lastly, leave your molds someplace safe and out of reach of small children and pets. Leaving the molds on the wax paper will prevent it from solidifying if you need to buy yourself a little time. I'd definitely recommend this kit to anyone with a small child or baby. Makes a perfect keepsake for the Holiday's or other special occasions.

Suggestions for success
I did two sets and learned a few things that might be helpful. The first photo (with the baby hippo paper) is the first set that I did. My daughter is 9 months old. I followed the directions precisely. The clay came out smooth, though it did take some effort. I made the imprints when she was awake but calm, and distracted by holding a toy with her other hand. The hand imprint turned out perfectly. The only mistake I made was letting the clay sit too long before stamping her name and date. It cracked a bit. And I pushed the letters in too far. Then I tried to smooth some of the mistakes, only resulting in more cracks/wrinkles in the clay. Her foot imprint turned out much better. The second set of imprints I did one at a time. However, this time she was more active and curious even though I was trying to distract her. Her hand imprint took 3 attempts. Each time I was able to knead the clay smooth, but at the 3rd attempt, it was my last opportunity because I could tell the clay was beginning to dry and would not turn out smooth if I did it a 4th time. On both sets I was unable to fully punch out the hole for the ribbon. I tried my best, but the tool just didn't cut all the way through. I ended up with deep holes, but a small bit of clay still in there. I thought I could let it dry fully, then punch out that little bit...but now I'm afraid the ornament will crack if I do. We will probably just use the stands instead of hanging. Both sets took about 4 days to dry. I didn't realize that when I ordered them. I found out when I opened them and read the directions. Good thing I had opened them just in time to let them dry and still give as Christmas gifts. The ornaments are very heavy. I can't imagine hanging them on my tree. They are going to sit out on display instead. Overall, I'm really happy with the quality of the product and the end result. My suggestions: Do one imprint at a time. Make your imprint and stamp the letters/numbers as quickly as possible because as the clay dries the stamps will turn out less smooth. After completely finishing one imprint, THEN move on to opening and starting the second. My mistake was that I kneaded both clay balls and that resulted in the clay sitting out too long and beginning to dry. Once the clay begins to dry, stop touching it. You will only make things worse. You have a relatively short amount of time before the surface of the clay begins to dry and become prone to cracking. Consider the climate you are in. I live in a desert, the air is dry, and the clay dried quickly because of that. I'm sure the temperature of your room will also affect the clay. It's common sense.

Clay is continent but does not capture details the way I wanted.
It is nice that this item comes with everything needed for the project, however it’s not as easy as it appears to get a detailed print into the clay. It was also challenging to get all the cracks out of the clay, even though instructions state to work the clay until there are no cracks… I’d rather deal with plaster to get the definition in the print. I was doing this with my 4 month old soon and wish I had done it sooner because his feet barely fit in the mold. Mind you, he does have big feet for his age!

Arrived with broken easel
Contents list indicates that 2 plastic easels are supplied - 1 easel in the box is fine, however the 2nd easel is literally half an easel - so not much good. Otherwise, this looks like quite a comprehensive DIY keepsake kit.
