Summer Waves Funsicle 10in Sand Filter Pump for Above Ground Pools, 1100 GPH Flow Rate

Got yourself a pool that tears down at end of the season? Did you actually GET to swim or was the water always swampy or green? Spending more time cleaning and shocking than swimming? This filter gets rid of all that. My family has been able to use the pool more often in a month than we did all last summer and the year before. I own a 10' easy setup Intex pool. I hated the paper filters so finally shelled some cash on this filter. I nerver heard of this brand but the sale was so tempting I went for it.It comes with more accessories than i needed to convert form one pump to another. They really thought of everything when Funsicle packed this 10" sand pump. Even the plugs needed to swap out the hoses. The O-ring needed to prevent leaks. enough hoses for a double intake.Instructions are easy and thorough no matter your set up. You will need to read instructions, buy filter sand, and a screwdriver to set up. I am a handy person and found this new challenge enjoyable.TIP: TIGHTEN the rings around the hoses, and then tighten again. Had a couple of hoses pop off due to the power of this filter.Update: Seaosn 2 with this filter. When i installed it it wouldnt pump. It turned on but no flow. Turns out I had the initial setup plugs still on. Running great. I Should had purchased this filter from the beginning. Still Recomend. Keep the intructions booklet in a safe place you need it to winterize and set up.

Once we installed our pump we noticed that it never seemed to work properly. When we started it back up for this season it hasn’t worked at all. The auction nor the outflow are working like they should. Everything has been checked and double checked and it’s still not working. I have checked all the videos on troubleshooting and most of them say that this is common with this pump and you will just have to buy a new one. I wished I would have done more research before purchasing.

The pump works good, but I’d rather have the timer on 24 hour instead of 10 hour other words it works good

My cheap little pump that came with my pool was a pain. Had to clean it every day and it would only last for one season and stop working so I would have to buy a new one. Cheap pump broke while I went away and my pool looked like pea green soup when I got home. I decided to get a sand filter pump this time. Arrived in 2days. Set everything up turned it on added the needed chemicals and wow with in 2 days my pool looked great. I did have to back wash and rinse several times during those 2days, but if I would have just got another little pump it would have been a week at the least to clear my pool. The really great part is that as my grandchildren grow I can get a bigger pool and still use this filter pump. RHighly recommend this product.
