Is the metal tip at the top narrow enough to fit inside a typical size hummingbird feeder glass jar?

I had the same issue with previous bottle cleaners, but with this one it will... I use it for ikea style glass bottles, and those opening are about the size of a dime (the standard size that most water bottles and small openings usually are)... you can put the tip of these into those, and push the bristles through after that, which clean the neck of the bottle along with the rest of the bottle at the bottom when they expand in bigger spaces...

why does this rust? I thought it was stainless

could you slip this into the relatively narrow grill of a stand fan to clean the blades?

It will slip through the grills of a fan. Not sure how it will clean the blades. A sponge may be needed for that.

Is the handle and wire center of these brushes stiff enough or will the brush bend too much while you scrub against the sides of the bottle? Thanks

The center of the brush is wire and it is stiff. It will not bend because I really have to push it through the glass water bottle for my guinea pigs.
