I'm reasonably happy with this purchase
I'm very happy with this purchase. I was worried because of some of the other reviews, so I'll focus on points other people made that I was worried about:-It is not too narrow. It is narrower than a twin bed, but has a wider cushioned area than your average cot.-I could not feel the bars through it at all (I'm about 160-170lbs). Someone about 60-80lbs heavier than me slept on it, and said he could feel the bars occasionally when shifting, but not to any degree that mattered. The cushions are firm foam, so it's not a super-cushy, super-plush bed... but that's also why I can't feel the bars, is because the foam is firm. It is fine for its intended purpose.-It folds out differently than you'd expect, and I wonder if people with "hinge problems" just didn't understand it? the top cushion opens like a box lid (90 degrees, straight up and down), you flip out the two wings from inside, then close the box lid to form the center.-The legs for the wings need to be pushed away from the center so they're braced, if you just leave it the way they happen to fall when you flop out the wings, the wing could incline steeply as the leg folds back in. This seems like common sense, but some people expressed problems with it in the reviews.-Mine didn't come with wheels, which I think I prefer?Overall I'm happy with the purchase.Edit to add:A couple of years in, and while this is still serviceable, it is clearly not designed to be a heavy-duty long-term investment. The screws fall out of the hinges regularly, we had to buy larger ones at the hardware store. The cushions have split at the seams - even the internal ones that rarely saw use. The padding is starting to dry out and be flat/crunchy. We are not particularly hard on this piece of furniture, either.Like I said, still usable, but expect that it will be thrown out at some point - it's not long term furniture item.

Hard Cushions-Hoping It Works
I bought these for my grandkids to use instead of a baby bed. Many reviewers stated that it was comfortable, even for and adult. I can't see it. The cushions are very hard - little to no give. Even hard to sit on as an ottoman. I'll keep it only because I think the kids will be ok on it long enough for me to get my money's worth, but I would not buy again, at this point or even recommend it.

Nice ottoman, too hard foam mattress.
Overall, the presentation of the ottoman is terrific and as a side chair to my desk, it's great. A smidge high for an ottoman as shown in the diagram. The mattress is entirely UNcomfortable! It's HARD, like rock hard to sleep on. I tried it out during Superstorm Sandy. I gave up. Too hard a surface, and I like firm beds. Back to the drawing board. I will try egg crate foam on top of it. For this reason, I am disappointed. The mattress sectional ties onto the frame nicely. The microfiber cover is a very pleasant quality but it's not the brown in the photo. I'd call it sable brown. In the picture it looks like chocolate milk brown. I like the color it actually is, better. Great price of course, but I still need a guest bed! Hopefully the foam will make it usable.

Frame fell apart after 3 days
I am sorry to report that this product has very shoddy metal construction. Upon arrival it looked fine and assembled easily, cushions are very thick and sturdy. However, many weeks later when our adult guest (*under* 150 lbs) used it for the first time, by the third day the metal grid in the middle section completely separated from the frame, making the bed unusable. Upon close examination, it appeared that the grid is only connected to the frame on *every other* wire, making the claim of 250 lbs weight limit unbelievable. We sent several emails *with photos* to DBROTH regarding the situation and received only automated replies. We realized that it was far past the return limitation date and there was no hope of any compensation but were very disappointed not to receive any acknowledgement of the problem.Bottom line: Is this a common development for *delayed use* equipment and the return expiration is a convenient way for the manufacturer to deal in cheaply made products and never be liable for replacement? We will probably never purchase from DBROTH again.

Ottoman Bed
Perfect for our purpose-something that fits in den for grandson to sleep on (he is 13) Looks nice, makes a nice ottoman, easy to assemble and open into bed. He said it could be more comfortable....but he slept on it for 11 nights and didn't complain. Price was good-overall very happy with purchase.

Extra hidden bed
Am thrilled with this hidden bed. The ottoman is attractive in itself and is great for propping your feet up on or as an extra "chair" as long as person doesn't weigh more than 200 lbs. The bed is easy to pull out and fold back up and is well disguised by the ottoman cover which comes with it. The cushions are nice and thick and once tied in place don't slide about or fall off. The ottoman has wheels and is very easy to move about.

I am very happy with the ottoman bed
I am very happy with the ottoman bed. It is sturdy and the fold out mattress is thick and comfortable although I was surprised that it was in sections. I had expected a complete section. The cover is a perfect fit for the ottoman and the brown I chose was exactly what I expected it to look like. It was easy to put on the casters and rolls smoothly. It was delivered in perfect condition.

It was great, just a little hard so that next time I will use an additional mattress cover. It was very handy and I slept well!
