I was unsure if I could install this starter myself. But after searching “How to replace 2002 Camry starter” online, I found several YT videos that showed exactly how to do it. I actually watched one where the guy replaced a 2003 model starter, it’s about 30 minutes long. He showed his process in detail step-by-step. Basically, remove the battery & the plate where it sits, remove the engine filter cover - careful with those brittle plastic clips, remover the filter housing, remove the bracket (where the left-most screw of the filter housing is attached), remove the air-intake pipe, and finally you have full access to the starter. I used a 10mm, 12mm, and a 16mm sockets to remove/reinstall all the bolts. It took me about a little over an hour to do everything, but I’m confident that if I had to do it again, it would be much quicker. It’s the removal of the clips that attaches the wiring to the filter housing that slowed me as I don’t want to ruin them. As you can see from the picture, this Irontree starter matches the OEM. The price is very reasonable compared to what the shop quoted me. If you can replace your battery, you can replace your starter, even if this is a little more involved. As for the longevity, I can’t comment as I’ve never replaced my starter before, and this it the first time I’ve ever bought this brand to replace anything. It did start my engine right as rain on the first try, and the succeeding ones.

Terrible Terrible. The starter stop the same day it was installed. Had to get my car towed home. There is not contact info for this company Irontree. Please don't buy. Now I have to pay another labor bill to have another starter installed.

My starter in my 2009 Camry just died. I confirmed that the starter was the problem by taking the plug out at the starter and confirming there was voltage there with a multi-meter, when I cranked the starter. There are a lot of YouTube videos on how to do so. Taking out the starter after all the bolts and wires have been removed proved difficult. It required a lot of tapping and muscle power. Once the failed starter was out,, installing this starter from IRON TREE was a breeze. It took less than 15 minutes. The starter worked immediately. Let's hope it lasts for the remaining life of this car.

The part is well manufactured, installed easily and has been working well.

Works great

It fit perfectly into my 2004 Camry. Wasn't really to hard to replace - battery, air-intake, some wires. Turns out the problem was a busted battery *sigh*.

It is fit my 2008 Lexus RX350, and easy install. It is running good.

It fitted well the 2007 RAV4 (2.4lt engine), like it stated in product description; arrived within 2 days, and has been working great! The only concern I had was about the weight which the ad described as 18g; I even asked a question about it, and the answer didn't help at all. When the item arrived, the label put down the weight as 6.2lbs but I reckon the part was around 4-5lbs. Pleased with the purchase.
