Pillow is about 5.5 inch thick. It will compress 1.5-2.5 inches, depending on sleeping position.

Basic Latex is from Sri Lanka. Assembly, including covering is done in USA.

what is the difference between the plush and non-plush versions?

I bought the plush standard size. It is a very soft pillow and your head will sink down into the pillow. But that is just what I was looking for....a nice soft pillow that cradles your head. I personally do not like firm pillows.
