Easy Programing
I have a 2009 Corvette.Lost the Fob.This fob programmed the first try.Even works the trunk.Took less than 5 minutes to program on the first try.I used the procedure as presentedHaven't made a new key yet, but it looks to be the same width.

50/50 to program out the box-key blanks when cut don't work-eventually fobs stop working completely
As a few people have mentioned, it's hit or miss as to whether these program out of the box. I ordered 2, only 1 worked so i exchanged the other one and the next one work, so I guess technically, for me, it was a 66.7% "accuracy" rate. I took the key blanks to the chevy dealership to have them cut for my car and they used both my existing factory key AND the code from GM for my VIN and neither one worked. The blanks were too wide. Then, a few months later, out of nowhere, both fobs stopped working to start( or lock/unlock) the car. I put in fresh batteries and even wiped the car's programmed fobs and went through the whole process again and they wouldn't program. While I wanted these to work SO bad because the dealership will charge you 4 arms, 6 legs, and your first born for a new fob with key from GM, these just don't cut it. Buy once, cry once and just buy a factory fob/key

Good replacement key fob
This replacement key fob works great. Note: it may take several tries to get to the programming mode with the 5 trunk key turns required to get it into the programming mode. I tried a couple of times and then went back to the on-line videos. One of the videos made a point of this, and once I tried again using several series of 5 key turns it worked on the fourth try.Cutting the keys was a failure at my local hardware store. Neither of the cut keys would even fit into the lock more than half way. I reversed the way the key is mounted and it still didn't work. The hardware store has been very competent in the past, but it may well have been their problem.

Some work , some don’t
So I bought this key about 4 weeks ago and it worked perfectly far as programming it. Had my wife purchase 2 more for me for. The next 2 I received after several attempts, hrs of trying. Would not program to my car. I have a c6 corvette and Ik what I’m doing far as the process. So it’s a 50/50 chance u get a good fob I guess. 3 stars still because the first one i ordered saved me dealership fee. Will have to return the other 2Update: Turns out I switched the batteries from the ones they came in and they worked…so make sure u buy new batteries because the batteries they come with are not from the u.s.

Worked for my XLR
I am giving 3 stars because this fob arrived inoperable, but I was able to get it working. I changed out the battery in it and went to go program it. It was programmed, but I could only get it to lock and unlock the doors, wouldn't start the car (No fob found message displayed when trying to start). I plugged in my fancy scanner and pulled up a function which displays the status of all programmed keys. I noticed that the fob would become active only when pressing the buttons on it so long story short, I had to bend the electronic contacts in order for the fob to be active all of the time. It now starts the car. Great price for a working key fob and not too much work.

Does not work the same as the original equipment.
Bought this as a replacement. (Actually bought 2)I immediately had to send 1 back after taking over an hour reconfiguring and learning the new remote. It had worked sporadically and most of the time didn’t work at all. Got the new one and this was the same but not as bad. I would say that 40% of the time it will not open doors or start vehicle without actually pressing one of the buttons to make the car identify it. About 5-10% of the time even after using it to enter the vehicle, the car will not start with the error code saying “No Fob Detected” this usually requires reliving and replacing battery, shaking fob, pressing multiple buttons and a couple of times I had to put the fob into the slot in the glove box just to start the car. It is the same with both fobs I ordered and the one I returned. It is a subpar product that honestly stresses me out everytime I leave the house worried about if it will start my car when I need it. I also noticed the battery (Brand new Energizer) died and had to be replaced less than 4 weeks after learning my vehicle. Would not recommend to family or friends. I have it a generous 2 stars because the appearance matches the OEM FOB and because it does work properly about 20-30% of the time.
