These secateurs are very sharp and need very little effort to cut quite large branches. The handle is covered in a rubber material that give plenty of grip. I don't have the biggest of hands but I am able to close them easily. The spring is strong enough to push them back open but not need to much force to close them. The only slightly fiddly bit is putting the lock back on. You need to squeeze them closed quite hard to put the lock on. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and they feel a good quality well made pair of secateurs.

Wanted a pair of secauters that would stand the test of time and use! Went for these and appear to be sharp and functional but only time will tell. Because they are new cut beautifully and easy in the hand.

What a fabulous bit of kit. These snips are smaller and lighter than secateurs and therefore much easier to carry around in a pocket. As a result I find that I'm much more likely to have them with me, having left the heftier secateurs in the house. The snips are sturdy and built to last and I love the fact that they have a lifetime warranty. The lock strap is a simple latch on the back of the snips which means it can't be operated singlehandedly, as you might see on larger secateurs but equally it is a very strong, simple lock with very little to go wrong. Needless to say, these snips are very sharp and cut stems of varying thickness beautifully.

Rather more than I would usually pay for secateurs but worth it. Very sharp blades and I love how they open automatically when you squeeze them together. Very comfortable handles, especially if you have osteoarthritic hands.

Oh my goodness why have I been buying cheap secateurs all my life? These are amazing. They cut like a dream. No effort at all. And with arthritis beginning to hurt my hands these are amazing. The only star knocked off is because the colour on the handle comes off on your skin- very weird. Go buy them they are soooooo worth it and have a lifetime guarantee.

Fantastic tool! Well designed, with good grip and a sharp blade. Comes with a fantastic safety lock feature, felt very safe to use. Good value for money. Would recommend.

I thought these a tad expensive, but they seem well worth it. Really nice to work with, and strong. I had a little difficulty with the catch at first, then learned the trick of it. Useful and nicely designed.

These premium Japanese precision pruning scissors having been nothing short of an excellent addition to my garden and kitchen. First the blade size/curvature and sharpness is excellent for cutting small delicate stems up to thicker hardier branches. They're even sharp and delicate enough to cut herbs in the kitchen after harvesting. The handles are easy to grip and clean afterwards. Overall, if you keep the blades clean, I can see these pruners staying sharp and functional for a very long time. The price of these pruners is more expensive than what you would find at your typical garden/hardware center. However given the build quality, design, and effectiveness, I would say it is well worth it.
