I bought this for my husband to replace his old board. He lost some of the pieces so I thought this magnetic board would be much better and he loves it. All of the pieces can be stored safely inside the board and it has a good strong clasp to stay closed, and it's so sturdy he's even asked if we can pack it and take it on holiday with us.

It's exactly what you would expect. No less, no more. It feels a bit cheap, because it is cheap, but it is very useable and the magnet strength is adequate (not super strong but good enough).

Can't say enough good things about this chess set. I bought it as a gift for my husband and he absolutely adores it. The magnetic board is really amazing for ehen you want to play on the go. The pieces are nice and sturdy and is also an amazing and elegant decor piece.

Is a magnetic wooden chess set and the quality is good( no rough edges), . The chess-board measurements:L29, l14.5/29( close/ open), that makes it super easy to storage or to carry. No missing piece. The service was good. Overrall it worth the money.

Not worth the money

Der leichte Magnetismus schützt vor Figurenverschiebungen, wenn man mal am Brett ankommt. Die Schaumstofflagerung für die Figuren im Inneren sind genial, kein Herumfliegen auf Reisen. Das Spielbrett ist natürlich etwas kleiner als Standard, aber absolut ausreichend. Die Qualität ist OK, die Figuren sehen toll aus. Für mich eine Kaufempfehlung.

Lovely portable chess set! It is always a bit scary to order a wooden chess set because some will inevitably have inaccuracies, especially the cheaper ones. This one however looks absolutely great! It is very light, which makes it feel a bit cheap perhaps and probably a cheap sort of wood is used, but that does mean it is very good for traveling. The pieces are light too, but because of the magnets they stay very well in place during a game. The magnets aren’t strong enough to put the board upside down, but at a 45 degree angle everything will stay in place very well. Stronger magnets might have made the pieces that are close together stick together during a game, so it seems like a reasonable trade off in magnet strength. The wood carvings on the sides look absolutely great. It is a lovely looking board and one of the few wood boards with clear numbers on the sides. To me the numbers are very important for studying and analyzing. It makes it so much easier to notate a game.
