I use these to monitor the water temperatures on my boiler remotely and they work good and are easy to setup if you use the bluetooth on your phone for setup and have decent wifi for the data connection(tuya app)

Needs a way to turn off display when used in an environment such as bedroom.

I use this to monitor the temp in a sauna and it is accurate and the red LED display is readable from 20 feet away. Only problem is that Alexa can tell you what the temperature is, but you can NOT create a Routine to do anything based on that temp. So you can not turn anything on or off if the temperature is high or low. All you can do is ask Alexa what the temp is. So this is a disappointment.

Pros Plugs in, no batteries needed. Magnets work well Display is easy to read Cons Not accurate, both sensors off by over 5 degrees (too high). Unreliable. Both sensors routinely have 15+ degree swings, setting off the alarms. Connection is unreliable. Constant disconnects and or shoring as offline. On/off switch is recessed so not easy to turn on or off. Annoying when alarm is going off due to incorrect temperature read. Sensor cord is so large it causes gap in freezer seal. Does not come with wall plug adapters.

I bought this one because it plugs into power instead of having to replace batteries, and it has proven to be a great device. The cord is a bit larger than I would like to go through the seal on the freezer but it doesn't seem to bother it.

I bought this to use as a remote temp monitor for my hot tub. Because it needed 120v power I installed a plug off the hot tub incoming power and installed the monitor inside the tub enclosure. The 3 feet cable was long enough to reach up and over the side of the tub. Someone said you could not change it to fahrenheit it is easy to set up in the app. I have alerts set for high and low temp so I know if I have lost power or something in the tub is not working before the tub freezes. Alerts are via text, email, and phone call. The only warning is, it is not weather proof. If you are going to use it outside, you have to mount it in an enclosure.

I needed a device that would allow me to remotely check on the temperature of a refrigerator. I can get real time readouts as needed, and set alarm points if desired. It contains a battery, but I'm not sure how long the device would run on that battery. You can of course attach it to a 5 volt USB charger and that will keep it going indefinitely, using the internal battery to cover a power failure.

Sensor works fine. The adhesive strip that came with it is too weak to support the units weight. The magnetic buttons work well so I used them to install the sensor.

Took two/ three goes to pair device but so far it working great, brilliant display with back ground light. Fitted 13 amp socket in my hot press so I could keep USB lead connected so I didn’t need to use just the battery & thus worry about having to charge. Got it connected to Alexa but waste of time as I was hoping that Alexa could advise on temperature reading, this option was not available so I don’t see what use Alexa is? I connected device to my existing smart home app and device worked first time. I now have smart switch on control of my hot water system and now temperature reading all from my mobile phone.
