Well constructed
Unit seems well constructed and the principle on which it works is plausible. The only potential concern I have is if the sterilization chamber offers enough contact time with a theoretical drop of water flowing through the chamber. It claims a flow rate of 2 gal/min, but I have no idea if that would allow sufficient time. I haven't tied this in yet. The only other concern would be leaking, but that could be just as likely due to installation as design and dealt with just as any other leak(PTFE tape, tighten connections. Pex icemaker supply line would seem the perfect way to plumb the device as other than a bracket and the bulb it would seem as in every endeavor, we are on our own and free to proceed as our hearts desire and to succeed or fail based upon our own merit or shortcomings.

Too small for a whole RV
It's probably fine for a sink, but not big enough to do my whole Motorhome. Went bigger with flow switch.

1/2” diameter connection
I installed it after my regular filter. The connection size is 1/2” , not 3/4 as shown in the diagram. No instructions but pretty intuitive to install. No hardware for brackets so you need your own screws to attach. The plug has an alert/beep/light if it’s not working properly (“fault”) I assume this will go off when the UV light eventually dies andneeds replacing.

Need a RO system for this UV filter
You should know that UV filters don’t really filter water more than they just kill harmful living organisms with UV light. This doesn’t mean those organisms are filtered out they remain in the water they just aren’t harmful anymore. This is what you have the RO system for. The water filters don’t remove viruses and bacteria with the effectiveness as a UV filter so you use both in concert for a higher level of safety. You don’t need a UV filter after your RO system it is just a 2nd net but you do need a water filter prior to the UV sterilization process as the water needs to be as clear as possible for the UV filter to be effective. I deal in a lot of rain water as I collect and store it as my only source of water on my property, so I have to be well versed in filtration so I don’t poison myself and my pups lol. Thanks for joining my ted talk lol. This UV filter works as it should and is a good low price choice. It is being used in my camper van.Until We Meet Again-Off the Grid Ken
