Lincoln James Legacy: War Child

I love how easily this story flows on the pages. Very well written. The story holds up well on it’s own but is a sequel to Olivia’s Hope. Even so, I went back and reread my copy of Olivia’s Hope after getting well into this one and refreshed the story line in my mind before continuing and it did help a lot. When a book can bring me to tears I have no doubt it is great piece. There are many areas that I can relate to such as premie babies and emergency c-section, as well as vivid descriptions of things that are new to me such as how things work at an oil field. I whole heartedly recommend this book to anyone who is interested.

You need to read Olivia's Hope to enhance this book. It is Riveting, stayed up until I finished it around 4 AM. Just could not put it down. Some of the characters in the book are developed in his first book Olivia's Hope., another good read, but this one out-shines the first.

I really enjoyed reading it. I highly recommend this book.

Oh. My. Gosh! Kevin Karella has done it again! Captured our hearts and kept us on the edge of our seats in his new book, War Child. The perfect combination of new friends and old, new romance and budding relationships, new mysteries and puzzle pieces to mysteries from Olivia's Hope (his first novel)! War Child is a mystery, a fiction, suspenseful, a romance, a bit of comedy, a bit of action, a "based on a true story", and a military novel all rolled into one! A beautiful blend and one that will keep you turning the pages begging to know what happens next!Karella has added enough history that, though this is a sequel, it could also be a stand-alone. Meaning you'll appreciate reading his first book, but don't let that keep you from diving into War Child!I devoured this beautiful book in two nights, and the word "cliffhanger" is just not enough to describe the end!! This was amazing to read, and like I said, it put a few pieces of the puzzle together !!!!I am totally in love with this series, and the way Karella ties both books together without repeating is so beautiful! He continues Seth & Jenny's journey while simultaneously adding new characters, building on old, and telling Link's story! I cannot wait for the next book!

Fiction is my favorite genre, any spare moment, that is my preferred activity choice.After reading Olivia's Hope, I was eager to see where Author Kevin Karella would take us...He would definitely need to continue Seth and Jenny's story BUT what else was there in store for us?The title "Lincoln James Legacy Series" gave me my first clue while leaving the door wide open to where "War Child" would take us."War Child" kept me on my "mental mind toes"!Favorite friends, new engaging characters and fast moving action.Other than eating and sleeping, "War Child" kept me reading; start to finish in 22 hours!! (think I will read it again - very soon!)Thank you Kevin...looking forward to the next book!
