Really handy
Iโve been using this for bringing lunch to work, and I like not having to depend on a microwave. I usually plug it in when I get there and let my food warm up while Iโm doing other things. It takes a little while, but that works fine for me. The container gives me enough room for a decent meal without making the lunch box feel too big. I also like that the inside container comes out, because it makes washing everything much easier. The included bag and utensils are convenient too. Iโve only used it for regular meals so far, but itโs been useful for keeping lunch warm and making my workday a little easier. The option to use it in the car is a nice bonus.

Heats up great and very practical
Great lunch box for bringing food to work or on trips. It heats the food evenly and in a reasonable amount of time. It's easy to clean, convenient to carry around, and saves you from needing a microwave. Highly recommend it!

Worth the money
Before I bought this, my choices for dinner were either fast food or dinner when I got home. The downsides for both were is this, fast food can get really expensive over time and really unhealthy. And with having dinner at home after working 9 hour shifts, and having 2 hours of free time before I go to bed. That hinders me from getting a full night's sleep due to digesting dinner so late. This handy dandy little gadget solved those problems and more. I drove on the road for work and I had no way to hear up leftovers until I got this. I've been able to plug it into my work van's cigarette lighter socket and it'll heat up my food as I drive. And as a result, I have a piping hot dinner the second I park. I love the fact I can eat my dinner at no financial cost. What I eat is healthier than fast food and I can eat what I have before the end of my shift. I can eat leftover food before it goes bad. It's easy to clean up afterwards. And I have an easier time getting a full night's sleep because my stomach has settled before I get home from work. The only downside is a little bit of food can stick to the bottom of the bowl, mostly pastas for some reason. But other than that, it's a wonderful investment to make life easier for you if you're a truck driver or you work on the road for hours and don't have the means to hear up your food. I'm considering buying a second one of these so I can have a spare bowl if I don't have time to clean. And if for some reason the old box heater craps out on me, I have a spare. For the price, it's worth getting if money is a bit tight and can't afford a lunch box heater that's priced in the hundreds of dollars.

Great lunchbox when out in the trails
Works great! This makes it possible for me to have a hot home-cooked meal out on the road or in the trails. Now, I'm thinking if I should purchase another one so I can more hot meals on my truck's tailgate in the middle of a trail run. The only problem I is the compartment for the utensils is too small for the included spoon and fork, so I'm taking out 1 star because keeping the utensils in there safe, secure, and clean is very important to me. Other than that, this is an awesome product.

Perfect little lunch box
Excellent lunch box. My husbandโs loads it up in the morning and plugs it in just before lunch time. Heโs got a meal thatโs hot and ready to eat.

BEST HEATING lunchbox
The absolute best purchase. My MIL was in rehab and we had to take turns spending the night with her because of dementia and the facility did not have a microwave for visitors. The My husband got the weekend shift from Friday-late Sunday. He is a picky eater, so I wanted him to be able to have food and not eat out. I purchased the Electric lunch box and cooked all his food for the weekend. (The hospital is 3 hours from our house) The first time was a learning curve. It takes a little water in the bottom. But we discovered that using parchment paper helped with clean up and sticking. The first thing he tried was chicken tenders. They heated up from fridge to Electric box perfectly. They were hot and not soggy. He did the same with poppy seed chicken. For 2 weeks, he took it with him and had hot meals every day. Seriously the best heated lunch box.

Not quite as advertised
An update to my "first impression" review below: I gave this product a more thorough test both with a wall plug-in power connection and in the car. I put 16 ounces of water in the product and let it heat up. The room ambient temperature was around 70 degrees and the water started out at about the same temperature. The lid was sealed during the test except for a few seconds while measuring the temperature and the steam vent was open. When plugged into the wall, the temperature rose to 120 degrees in 15 minutes, 151 degrees in 30 minutes, and about 167 degrees in 45 minutes, finally reaching about 181 degrees in about an hour. When used in the car, the temperature rose to about 125 degrees in 20 minutes and 170 degrees in about 45 minutes. So, the temperature gain was roughly the same in the car or plugged into the wall outlet. This isn't hot enough to "cook" anything. The max temperature I observed of about 180 degrees is about the temperature of a cup of coffee. But, it will heat up some food nicely if you're patient. Think of this product more as a "small chafing dish" and that will be a good analogy. I think that it would have performed better if it had the 80Watts of power it advertised, but it's not bad. One thing to note is that the car-charger cable is pretty short (about 2 1/2 feet), so you'll need to have a relatively level location in your car near your cigarette lighter to place this cooker when in use. =========== This is a "first impressions" review. I just bought this heated lunch kit to use on a long road trip starting tomorrow. I'm testing it out at home before the "live event". I noticed that the Amazon listing for this product says it has 80 Watts of power, but the product box I received said it's only 60 Watts. That may be enough, but I'm all for truth in advertising so it's a bit surprising and disappointing. Based on other similar products (there are several listed on Amazon), I expected the heat to get to around 180 degrees or higher after about 20-30 minutes, but my laser thermometer says that the warming plate (which is only on the bottom of the metal insides) only gets to about 120 degrees when it is empty. This may act differently when actual food and a bit of recommended water is added. I'm a bit concerned that food that touches the bottom of the dish may get burned, so it's probably best to offset it from the heat plate or stir it occasionally while warming up. Overall, the build quality is okay and the convenience is good. The steam-release valve is good to have, but you need to remember to open it while heating or the limited documentation says the dish may warp. The carrying handle stays cool and the insulated bag is a nice addition. There is a kind of fluffy cloth with the kit, but no explanation of what it is for (a cleaning cloth? a pad to put in the bottom of the heating dish? or ???) I'm looking forward to trying it in the car using the 12 Volt input and I'll report more after some real life use. So far, I'm cautiously optimistic that it will work as expected.
