High quality scope. Works as it should.

First of all, the item came in a random box that had been taped shut- which leads me to believe this item is being marketed as new when it is in fact used. The Welch-Allyn carrying case is damaged inside with broken plastic pieces. The rechargeable handle is missing the plastic insulator cap so I can’t even charge it. The handle was also just inside the case with no packaging unlike the other pieces. All in all a lot of money for probably used and damaged items! Very disappointed.

Worth it if you need to have one in your pocket at all times. Super durable. Batteries last even though they are cadmium nickel, but the replacement batteries from Welch Allyn can be expensive. Easy to use. Has all the necessary functionality. Gold standard in my book.

Works well, the head is cross compatible with the wall mounted ones. Can use various batteries. 09/30/24: Update, still going strong. Works well for medical school and field use. I would recommend going with this if you are on a HPSP contract. Rechargeable battery works well for school use and the disposable works well for the field as the exchange has extra batteries. I wish the carrying case had some better space efficiency and was either a bit smaller or if it had a space for extra ear tips without creating extra bulk. Ideally if I was on a fixed budget with only 3 "premium items" I would go with this set again with a nicer stethoscope and my Butterfly US probe.

I purchased two of these units, the instruments appeared new and substantial. I was unable to test the equipment immediately, I assumed it was the batteries but it was actually operator error. Did not realize how the power button worked. The equipment literature failed to provide operational information. I am pleased with the operation.
