Fits Dyson DC 50
This fit just fine in the Dyson DC50 and fixed right up. The only thing was there was just a little bit of leftover plastic material inside the short stem where it slides on the mounting peg. Once i removed the material then it slipped right on.

Worked Great for Dyson Ball replacement. Pay close attention to which screw goes where when removing, though. They are different!

Fits like a glove into my Dyson DC40. Just had to watch a how to video to get it in…. And have the correct star screw driver (size 8 & 9) uggg😅

Challenging to fit DC50
The packaging for this part literally said it's for DC40. I managed to fit it on my DC50, but it was not easy. It feels as if there's an extra ring on that spring, so I had to squish it pretty hard to make it work. The plastic around the spring is rather rough, not like original, which was super soft. Bottom line: it can work for DC50, but it really is for DC40.

Perfect fit! Easy to put on and now our vacuum works again! Looks like good quality. This was much cheaper than buying a new vacuum!

Very poor quality product. Please read.
I am speechless how badly this is made. The hose is hot glued (see the pictures) in few spots to the two plastic endings. Upon inspection, I noticed the hose was off of one of the glue spots (logically).Do not waste your money taking chance with this product like I did. Find an OEM part even if it costs more.

Worked fine
My Dyson Dc50 has broken. My son on a visit located the problem this part had a hole. The professionals I called wanted apox $69 plus part to fix. My daughter pulled up a how to on her laptop and fixed it herself. It takes two special heads on a screwdriver which she didn’t have so she ordered a set so play the how to video and make sure you have everything. It’s only about 6? Screws you need to remove to get into your vacuum to switch out the part.
