LupinePetOriginals 1/2" Rain Song Cat Safety Collar , 8-12"

Full disclosure: I bought this for my 17 pound dog as dog collars are ridiculous large and heavy for small pooches. Beautiful collar. Problems:the buckle for sizing is like a fist in the throat for the animal who wears it. My solution: got out my dremel with the metal cutting blade on and carefully cut it off then cut off the excess collar and sealed it with a flame and then sewed it flat. Next problem: the ring to hold the tag is sealed shut so there is no way to get your tag on it. Again I used the dremel with the metal cutting blade to cut it which was difficult as the metal was incredibly thick and strong so heated up every few seconds and had to stop and start again a lot. After cutting a slit to get a tag on, realized how big and bulky THAT was also like it was for a pit pull so made another cut and got it out and replaced it with a smaller, gentler buckle I luckily had on hand. Am happy to have this lovely collar for my small dog but it took a hour of work and my handy man know how to bring it up to where I think it is comfortable for my dog.A lot of people will think this is ridiculous. Here is my take on it: I have the healthiest, happiest dog I know who has never been sick the 8 years I've had her (she is a nine year old rescue) and so obedient I don't need to ever put a leash on her even in the busiest of places. She loves everyone she meets and gets along well with other dogs. Did she arrive this way? No. She had lots of problems. But I studied her "dogness" and her particular personality and have shown her respect for who she is and her needs at all times and not put my own selfish, lazy needs ahead of her unlike most animal owners I have observed. She thus turned into the lovliest of animals so when putting a collar on her, I try to look at it from HER perspective and not my own needs i.e. to just get a collar on her.

Looks great on the cat glad to know it pops off easily but beginning to think he is doing it on purpose he has come in without it a few times now! but it doesn't fray!!

Clip pops opens too easily. Almost gave up-but made the collar larger than it should be and seems to be better! Super cute style-love lupine!

I love the Lupine colors and quality. A little expensive but they wear well.

EL collar a mi no me duró ni una semana, el broche no cierra, no está fuerte y mi gat se lo quita al segundo de abrocharlo. Es una pena porque el collar es lindo y nada barato, pero la calidad no resultó la esperada.

Los collares Lupine de mucha calidad, duran años y sus diseños son hermosos. Los mejores que he conocido. Los lavas y no pierden el color.
