Better than expected - 2008 Touareg
For the cost, these are on the money for my '08 VW Touareg. I don't know how long they'll last as the originals lasted 16 years, but even if they last 4 - 5 years they're the right price. Took me 5 minutes to change both and that included getting them out of the packaging.

Whoa very strong struts
I love these. I installed them and they work too well. They are very strong and we have to pull hard to get the hatch down. But easy to install. I never worry that my hatch will collapse while putting furniture in the car. THANK YOU!

Fixed sagging rear hatch
This item, plus the heavier struts, fixed the sagging rear hatch on our Touareg. Watched YouTube videos re replacement steps. Didn't want to snap into place; had to persuade it with some pliers.

aftermarket junk
So these are like 5mm longer then original which makes them almost impossible to install. I managed to install them and they are so strong that when galss goes up it bounces back and forth when it reaches the top. It scares me. One of these days it will brake off from the hinge. It's alot of work to replace these.
