My second Pro-Form Recumbent Bike
This is my second Pro-Form recumbent bike. I was very happy with the first one and it lasted almost six years with daily riding. It was too expensive to get it repaired so I decided to purchase a new one. It arrived a day early and it took me about 3 hours to assemble it by myself and I’m a 70 year old man with a knee replacement. The manual said it takes 2 people but I had no problem doing it alone. After the first ride everything seems to be working fine. I did notice the resistance levels don’t seem as strong as my previous one but enough for what I need it for. I do like the newer display though and it is very easy to read. I’m not interested in the Ifit app and programmed workouts so didn’t bother with that. The one thing that came with my previous bike that is an optional buy on this one is a tablet holder. I don’t need that either. I suggest the extended warranty that Amazon offers as it is half of what the manufacturer offers. Since parts are so expensive I highly recommend getting one. I will update as I use it more.

Seems solid, doesn't require WiFi like much of their equipment
Will be placed in the exercise room of my senior citizens apt to replace a very old one. It's good that it won't be putting up a lot of error messages about missing WiFi like the ProForm 2000 treadmill. Quite a loud popping noise when the seat position lever is pressed down to adjust the seat postion. I couldn't figure out how to activate it on the web site even though I have a membership, so I just held the iFit button down as mentioned in other reviews.

It's uncomfortable
I thought i ordered the same one I already had. But this one has less support in the back, makes you bend your knees tighter and is harder to adjust. I still use it but I much prefer the one I had before that the grandkids overused and broke the pedals.

Works Great
I did have a bit of a time ACTIVATING the bike. But once I found out that all I needed to do was hold down the "IFIT" button for 30 seconds, it worked great.

Console never worked
Had to pay someone to assemble as much too heavy for one person. While the console came on, it never worked in the manual status and even with the IFit programs, the tension could not be regulated. Returned to Amazon and they charge $90 restocking fee even though I told them it never operated. This was told via website as well as phone conversation. Will not ever again order a large item from Amazon. Impossible to even question them on the "restocking fee!"

The pedal thread insert on the crank shaft is VERY very cheap!
I’ve gotten this bike twice. The second one was a replacement due to the weak threaded insert that the pedals are supposed to be screwed into, located on the crank shaft. I applied Loctite and even used to a wrench to fasten it. 6-7 minutes into the ride, the pedal flies off, completely DESTROYING the threads! The newer Pro-Form bikes by iFit are no longer built for durability. You’re better off asking Amazon to refund your money rather than dealing IFit or ProForm’s customer service.
