No kids. No pets. This is my first experience with anything like this. It's common to have too much veg from even the smallest garden. So, instead of looking for open car windows to stuff cucumbers, tomatoes and other veg into, I use these silicon containers to freeze vegetable juices: cucumber, carrots, tomatoes, etc. A decent juicer, some gallon freezer bags and about $60 worth (8) of these things solves the veg surplus problem. Frozen veg juice nuggets have many uses: smoothies, soups, gravies or simple health drinks. Good stuff come January, February & March when weather is ugly in the north country.i found three things about these that I didn't know about.1) Silicon containers absorb the odor of whatever you put in them. It might be wise to dedicate a pair of these exclusively for a specific vegetable. (Cucumbers will seriously leave their odor on these).2) Both top and bottom are silicon. The bottoms (containers) are a bit more rigid than the covers. This means that you'll need some patience in getting the tops to fit like they're designed to. There are eight little tabs that fit over the lip of the bottom to prevent spillage while you carry them to the freezer. Get those on right and you'll be fine.3) They're stackable. If the lids are on correctly they can be stacked in the freezer to save space and freeze more stuff at one time.Good stuff! Buy 'em.

These were honestly the best bang for your buck for silicone food containers, but the lids are 100% terrible! I have several different styles of these kinds of containers as I make my own baby food and ice cubes yatta yatta ya, you can never have too many I guess. And all the others have a nice sturdy plastic lid. The lids for these are a very flimsy silicone. Not the end of the world right? Wrong! Please believe me when I say EVERYTHING gets stuck to them! Hair, dust, crumbs, papertowel/napkin fluff gosh you name it, it will cling to the top! Also because the tops are silicone it makes for a flimsy stacking experience in the freezer.

It's large. It's doesn't take up much space in the freezer. The size for the food portion is a nice large size. I tried using a dry erase marker to write on the top but it wouldn't write. I had to put tape on the top and use a permanent marker to label the food. The sides doesn't close completely. I prefer it too so there wouldn't be any frost once frozen. I will have to wait to see how the pureed food turn out once frozen
