This was everything I imagined it to be, a fluffy, low stacks, fast read, with more Elizabeth, Nathaniel, and of course, Silas.I liked how this wrapped up Elizabeth and Nathanielβs story in a cute way, even though the ending of Sorcery of Thorns was enough for me. And I was so happy to get more Silas.I read Sorcery of Thorns almost three years ago, so I forgot events, but Mysteries of Thorn Manor does an excellent job of reiterating the important bits and pieces.

absolutely adorable novella, like an extended cozy epilogue
Rogerson basically just extended an epilogue and gave all her fans exactly what they wanted. Itβs a short and cozy follow up to A Sorcery of Thorns in which we get just as much beautiful and hilarious character interactions. Iβm actually quite sad that this was just a novella (even though itβs so good). I would pay all the money in the world to just have endless silly adventures with Elisabeth, Nathaniel, and Silas. Is this why people are compelled to write fan fiction? Ugh, I adore this

Very enjoyable qwerty story of Sorcerers, Librarains, and demons
This is not a stand alone novella. But a followup or bonus short story.Still it is a lot of fun to read more about the sorcerer Nathaniel Thorn, the librarian Elisabeth Scrivener, and the very unusual demon Shows.Nathaniel, who is a bit socially awkward, is not following any discernible pattern of wooing his love Elisabeth and his house objects too his behavior. Meanwhile, Elisabeth knows Nathaniel loves her but not if she is his "true love.".It creates some very amusing situations.

Wish it were longer!!
4.5 stars! Sorcery of Thorns is one of my favorite books, so when I saw Mysteries of Thorn Manor was to be a thing, I pre-ordered it immediately. I was very disappointed to see how few pages it was. However, I was not at all let down by the content. Iβm only giving it 4.5 stars because of the length. Other than that, it was a wonderful story true to the characters and moods of Sorcery of Thorns!!

Absolutely loved this novella followup to Sorcery of Thorns!!
I missed my favorite dramatic bisexual, and even injured Nathaniel manages to be his colorful self. And Silas!!! We don't have too many questions answered, but I loved to see him again, and get more closure around how the first book ended. This was a charming little story with magic and demons and books!

This is an extremely tiny book
Five stars for content but the small size of the book is weird and no doubt hard to read for some. It will definitely look odd next to her other works (which are regular size) on my bookshelf. I guess the recession has made it to the book world or maybe Amazon is doing fulfillment from Wish.

Size change?!
I have yet to read it, but I know I'll love it. The issue is the weird size. I just wanted to give others a heads-up. I'm disappointed because I'm one of those people who likes my books to match in size. This one will stick out like a sore thumb next to her other novels. π

I loved this little peek into the lives of Elisabeth, Nathaniel, and Silas after the previous book. It was adorable and cozy.

sweet and thoughtful follow up!
This review will contain light spoilers for Sorcery of ThornsI was super excited to see the Sorcery of Thorns trio again, and this novella didnβt disappoint in the slightest! These are some of my favourite characters (from one of my favourite books) and by the end of Sorcery it was incredibly clear that, regardless of romance, this is a trio and they all love each other deeply. This is carried over into this novella in the best possible way. Elisabeth, Nathaniel, and Silas are all given opportunities to shine and all of their relationships with each other are given their time in the spotlight. Rogerson incorporates all this through a relatively lighthearted plot masterfully, and despite the novellaβs short length nothing ever felt rushed. The new addition to the Thorn household, Mercy, didnβt feel like she was intruding at all. Sheβs not as close to any of them as they are with each other, but Elisabeth is firmly happy to have her around and she fits into the group seamlessly. Silasβ interactions with or about her were also highly entertaining. He makes no secret of how heβd prefer to work alone, but he simply has no say in the matter. The main plot of this novella is the manor effectively coming to life and trapping the four occupants inside until they can figure out how to make the manor calm down. This led to many humourous moments, some action, and some exploration into the history of both the Thorn family and the manor itself. I really enjoyed learning more about the magic and history of magic in this world! Thereβs also plenty of romantic moments, which may or may not have a connection to the magic keeping them trapped. We also learn a bit more about Nathanielβs immediate family in this book. In Sorcery we learned that his mother and brother had died, and his father had been killed by Silas at some point after this while Nathaniel was still a child. In this novella we learn more about what exactly happened and also what Nathanielβs family was like before everything went wrong. This is, ultimately, a lighthearted novella, but Rogerson also found room within it to deal with this heavy topic in a way that didnβt feel unnatural or shoehorned in and that didnβt subtract from the overall story. In what is surely a very popular opinion, Silas is my favourite character in this book/series, and this novella provides extra insight into him as a character which is nothing short of a delight to me! Something in particular that this novella addresses about Silas is how long lived he is. Heβs served and made deals with members of the Thorn family for countless generations and thereβs no way that Nathaniel and Elisabeth are the first people heβs truly loved. Heβs lost a lot of people, and one day heβll lose Nathaniel and Elisabeth as well. His grief for those heβs lost, and his sort of anticipatory grief for the people heβs yet to lose, is probably more present than heβd like to let on, but he doesnβt let this cast a shadow on the life he and people he loves are leading right now. Heβs the source of many moments that had me smiling and even laughing, and my love for him has only grown through reading this. Also Elisabeth seems to carry Demonslayer around with her almost everywhere she goes, and I simply think that more characters should have emotional support swords like she does. Truly iconic of her.If you enjoyed Sorcery of Thorns, you donβt want to miss this sweet and thoughtful follow up!

I love being back here!
I cannot tell you how happy I felt when this story was announced!Back with Nathaniel, Elisabeth, Silas and Mercy and Thorn Manor has got some ideas of what should be happening!!!I adored this. It was magical! The rooms. The ballroom. The clothes. The grimoires and above all Nathaniel and Elisabeth and highest of all, the lovely Silas. This was perfect. And I know I'm terrible....but I'd love more!!!!! I know! How greedy of me!'Not every story has a happy ending. But most do, if you're brave enough to keep reading to the end.'

I love these characters
"In that moment she thought fiercely that she would protrct him from anything; she would battle villains, demons, monsters, to keep him safe. If she could, she would even battle his memories."I've missed these characters and this world so much, being with them again has made me very emotional, and where this story goes didn't help because I cried multiple times while reading it.I will return to this story many times, just like I have with Sorcery of Thorns.

Fun revisiting this world
I loved Sorcery of Thorns and was very excited when I heard about the novella. I love the characters and the Magic system. I enjoyed diving right back in. However even though this was a novella, I felt I needed more. So I really hope that another sequel will be announced soon.
