Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Color Permanent Hair Dye, 4.26 Ultra Violet

My favourite hair dye, oil based so doesn't burn your eyes out 😅 and fades through to a red so I find I get an extra week or two out of it before having to re-dye

I usually buy Schwartzkopf Live to dye my hair but have found recently that the vibrant colour doesn’t last long. This is lasting really well so far, I had excellent even coverage and the conditioner is amazing! My hair has not been this shiny and healthy for years! It’s not quite the purple I was wanting, but it’s a really gorgeous colour. I will definitely continue using the Nutrisse range in future

I have been colouring my own hair for over half my life and I was very dissapointed with this dye. For 3 reasons...1) it's not the colour advertised, it's not even very dark. It looks more red.2) the quantity is so small, I usually can cover my hair adequately with 1 bottle, this barely covered my roots.3) it dries on the head, because there's so little of it it creates a hard shell, and I think the drying has made my hair feel compromised.My hair essentially looks the same as before I dyed it, it's just got a slightly darker coating at the root, considering I could only cover not even half my hair, and I was worried to the point I ordered another bottle whilst the dye was 'working' to finish the job the next day. But there's not a noticeable contrast and it should be purple - see the photo I've attached-this is after I dyed just the roots and a patchy part of the lengths.I've cancelled my order for a second bottle, there is just no point in trying it, you can't really tell I even tried to dye my hair. AVOID.

I have used Garnier Nutrisse for a long time & usually choose one of the red dyes. After my colour had faded quite a lot, I decided to try Ultra violet this time around. I am disappointed. I have never had a problem with my previous colour but with the ultra violet, the colour is not as advertised. In fact, it doesn’t look much different from my normal colour. I have a few strands of grey in my fringe & the dye has barely covered them, & they are showing up again after only 3 washes. My hair also felt a little dryer than usual.I shall be returning to my normal nutrisse colour next time as it’s so much better, long lasting, full coverage & nourishing.

Easy to use and doesn't damage your hair. I actually really ended up liking the color. But if you're looking for purple, this is not it - this very much ended up being pinkish/red. Also, I have long hair and I ended up needing two boxes.

I used the Ultra Violet shade, and was very impressed. My hair is mid brown with a little bit of silver sparkles at the sides and front. The colour came out even and is a lovely shade. I'd say more red than the purple on the box though. The conditioner made my hair feel lovely and soft afterwards. I'll definitely be using this shade again.
