Our bovine collagen is a blend of types 1, 2, and 3. The collagen is derived from different parts of the cow to ensure this - predominantly type 2 and 3. Question 4

Some people say that collagen is not absorbed in our body. Instead it is broken down by our digestive system and lost... Is this correct?

Accepted Answer

it doesn't matter if the collagen is broken down;
what's important is that you get certain types of amino acids

because they are alien to human immune systems;
hence this fish gelatin, but be careful with dose.
