These are amazing for umpires. When the shin guards are worn under the pants the straps can hurt your skin, these work great for a an umpire doing 3+games a day. No discomfort.

My son insisted to get him knicker style baseball pants and he has to get these extra long socks to go with them. These socks are darn expensive in my eyes, but there really isn't much choice. Fortunately, things work out well. At least these socks last a long time. That partially canceled out the expense.

I am a man with large calves and thighs so when I saw these socks marked XL I thought they’d be the right thing for me. Turns out XL means size 12-15 shoes. Nice socks and they’re long, just to tight to pull up above me knees.

Bought these for my son who plays baseball and wears knickers. He's always concerned about the pants riding up and exposing his leg when sliding into a base. These are high enough that he can either wear them underneath the pants and they go up past his knee or he can tuck the pants into the sock. We bought a size small and they fit him well as a 4'8" kid.
