This product works as expected for the digestive properties it touts, but do yourself a favor and research just what it is that flaxseed and oils do overall. That will be the best determinant for you to order. I use it for the omega properties, general health, fiber, and digestion, and I will do so always. You don't get that "unexpected" necessary bathroom break when used as directed, but you will definitely GO nicely.

I prefer to grind my flaxseed so the oil inside the seeds don’t evaporate as much as they do if they are pre ground and package. I was buying whole flax seeds at my local grocery store until I got curious and checked out Amazon to see if they sell whole, organic flax seeds.The best deal for one pound of flax seeds were Arrowhead. I am saving money buying Arrowhead whole flax seed and plan on buying more when my supply runs low. It’s a great bargain and adds a nice nutty flavor while getting the many health benefits.

I use a small coffee grinder to open the seeds - It takes maybe 10 seconds to get 2 tablespoons down to powder. Thicken soups, chili, add to my bread machine breads, waffles, cookies, lasagnas - whatever. I'm up to consuming 4 bananas a day so I'll cut them in slices, dip in honey, dip in ground flax and start munching. Much better than a packages snack thats loaded with sodium and fructose corn syrups. I like the high fiber content and other omega benefits of Flax and this is a great way to buy pounds at a time.

The product description as of July 19, 2013 says this is a pack of 3 packages. I only received one. I am not sure if this was a mistake in the description or the shipping. Amazon refunded 2/3 of the price, but I am still not sure how many bags I would receive if I ordered this again. The seeds I did get look nice and oily.

Convenient

I've been eating a palmful in the morning, and again at night. I just love crunching them between my teeth! It's like it's a treat or something...lol. Anyway, they are fresh and they taste good. I've noticed my skin has improved dramatically since I started eating them. My fine lines are barely there, no dry patches now, and I have a dewy glow. Since I hate any type of seafood and omega 3 capsules make me break out, this is my only way of getting that healthy fatty acid. I dare say my energy is better as well. I will definetly keep buying these.

I first bought this product to experment makng flaxseed gel, amd it worked out well. Then i decided to use it n my kids shakes. My youngest doesnt like nuts, but she likes the flaxseed. Both like it in there oatmeal. Flaxseed gel is a great alternative to ecostyler hair gel, especially for my 4 yr. old. It gives her great definition in her curls without the crunch that the ecostyler gives her, shes to young for that. It also keeps her hair moisturised especially when I spray it with the water aloe mix to freshen her hair in the morning. Then she eats her oatmeal. Nutrition on the inside as well as the outside.

This product was a good price and arrived quickly. It was well packaged. I didn't really like this product because I actually meant to purchase the grounded flaxseed. I bought this to improve my estrogen level. It still works well. However, it tastes much better if it's grounded. I put this in my green smoothies. Although I don't like the taste, I'm going to use the entire bag. However, I did go ahead and purchase the grounded flaxseed. It also doesn't blend well even after putting the seeds in the blender. It may just be a preference of taste.
